Missing Exobio map

I have absolutely zero idea how you found that. My DSS of the planet was literally either red hills or a solid black circle without a single pixel of blue on it. But it's clearly there, so I need to fly back and finish this crazy exobio adventure.

Look it's like this, here's a bio I had a lot of trouble finding, these dots are essentially single pixels, a couple of kms higher and they just vanish, there comes a point where the resolution level is so low you simply cannot see them from orbit, you have to cruise really low just to see them even on the dark side of the body.

They were nice once you got down though, very easy to find in the dark, but if you are to high above the planet the blue marks simply won't appear at all.

So it's not that they are small and hard to see from high up, it's that they are simply so small that a single pixel is to large at that distance and they don't show at all. I am well used to this sort of hunting, it becomes second nature once you get the idea, if you are doing it from orbit you need to be just above glide height, it's a difficult trick to master because without constant attention you can easily drop into glide, very annoying.

I have left plenty surfaces where I never found the bio I was looking for. I consider time vs reward. If I don't see it with due diligence, I leave. That said, I find these small growth bios mostly on the dark side where the signal would be more apparent if only selecting that signal in the DSS, as illustrated above quite nicely. For me it helps to have the room dark as well, so your eyes can dilate. This includes reducing the HUD brightness to as low as possible.

Well, for all of the the maybe seven people that might care. I was stuck on 2/3 for a long time.

If FDev ever does a balance patch on ExoBio (which they probably wont), there really needs to be something like the Pulse Wave scanner for plants. Trying to find tiny plants on the dark side of a tidally locked planet was hell.

Heck, even just having the plants you've already scanned show up in your contacts pane to help you orient yourself would be an improvement.

I found a new bio to an area way out on the edge of nowhere, not been found before in that area, and no wonder, took about a week, not of solid searching, but searching for a few hours, doing other stuff then going back for a few more hours, there are bio I will spend time looking for, if it's a bio not currently known in the region of course I will search until I find it, it's there somewhere and I will find it!
