I'm not gonna lie, I absolutely never understand the love for consoles. I got a switch out of boredom during 2020 and animal crossing loked relaxing. It collects a lot of dust now.
But then again, all games that aren't management / sandbox games really stress me out a ton while playing and no console on this earth focuses on those games.


I understand some people do not have room or money for a gaming PC, but a Planet game on a console still sounds like a nightmare to me.

Well, Planet Coaster got console exclusive ride that PC players never got.

Consoles are nice for a number of reasons, I find one of them to be accessibility and expense. Trying to learn how to build a gaming computer is a lot, and not everyone is good with technology. If you don’t know how to find good deals, or exactly what parts you need, it can get very expensive. I am not good with technology, biology I get, electronics I can never figure out. If you get the reference, I feel like the mechanics from Warhammer 40k, if something is wrong with my computer I pray to it and hope it fixes it lmao.

I can spend maybe 500 on the new console, and it will be able to run almost all the games on it pretty well. My gaming laptop was 800 on a discount on Black Friday. It is already struggling to run some PC games. Not to mention since I move a lot, taking a console with me would be easier than a gaming computer. I got the laptop because all I need to do is slip it in my laptop bag. A console I can put into a bag easily, it’s basically a brick. A gaming pc is expensive and I would have to bring a lot of stuff with it.

But then jwe was made for consoles from the get-go with the ui, game features and gameplay tailored to consoles rather than the pc. Hard to add exclusive content to a game that is multiplatform, planet coaster and zoo on the other hand were pc exclusives so often exclusive content is used to draw people to buy it on the newer platform instead of just buying the exact same game again with nothing new. Not all companies do this but frontier may do it again like coaster did.

Exactly this.

There's a precedent, so it's not unlikely that the console port gets something that exclusive to it; but the ride that was in console PC was extremely niche and tied to the building limitation mechanic ingame so nobody really complained.

It's certainly possible that PZ gets something exclusive too, but if it is, it's going to be something super simple and inoffensive to PC players so I wouldn't count on it being a new animal.

Frm my expirience, there are pick and choose generators on gaming pc and laoptop dealer websites. A good google was enough for me. Other than that, I tend to ask nerds in gaming forums for advise. Always went well with it.
Not saying your points aren't valid on other terms, but getting a good gaming PC is - if you have the finances - not magic these days.

I don't think I should explain this, but adding 1 extra thing does not make a good reason to buy the same game again, so therefore your whole reasoning that "they add exclusive content so players move to the new platform" makes no sense. To add ontop of that, switching to a console literally offers no advantages if you already play Planet Zoo on pc.

Just gonna remind you that we are not the target for the console release, it has not been made with us in mind, and it is not going to affect us negatively in any way, just be happy that all the people who cannot play PZ on pc can finally play it on consoles, because that's all it is.

Besides, yes the console edition got a ride, concretely a made up ride nobody cares about, how is that comparable to a real animal that might be requested by the playerbase? No matter how you look at it that is a terrible idea that they aren't going to do because it would cause an outrage to pc players.

Now... 26 march eh? Considering we should get our DLC then as well, as someone (sorry, forgot who) already mentioned, it would be weird to not relase the dlc alongside with a main game release. So it could be a multi platform release. Which could mean they mix things up. I'm not counting on it, but who knows.... interesting times.
