Spring 2024 DLC Speculation

That may be the reason for flying birds and fully Aquatic animals but still doesn't explain the extreme lack of habitat birds that could have been made of already existing ones. We just got the swan so i can forgive ducks and pelicans until the next DLC hoping they will introduce them then, but... No crowned crane? No guineafowl or pheasants? No storks, ibis, spoonbills? Even just a handfull of those would do wonders for the bird roster... But we have all the ratites minus one (again weird but may come next as well) and three penguins. Not what i call variety.
This will always be a sore spot for me :(

We know tree kangaroo is high effort animal just like secretary bird so we just accept won't make it.
There's a few animals regularly named that would, from what little I understand about it, seem to take just as much if not more effort. The quokka rig is an exceptional starting point - and we already know they've explored climbing with that one.

The cute quokka merged with the not so cute chimp, who would have thought. ...maybe the final dlc is hybrid animals 😂
I think it's more likely that animals use some kind of blank base with various animations assigned to it so devs can test behavior before they start creating the specific animations. Take it with a grain of salt though, as this is an assumption more than anything, we do not really know how animals are created, but it there definitely must be some reason why the ovl had those animations in it.

Exactly, I've accepted it at this point, and it will be a nice surprise if I'm wrong.

Last pack ideas that go like such:
Tree Kangaroo
Secretary Bird
Coatimundi
Spider Monkey
Duck species
Pelican Species
Golden Lion Tamarin (as habitat)

Are stretching the limits of a realistic final pack. At most I suspect we'll get 3, and probably just 2, difficult to create animals , or least what we perceive as difficult to create.

Would a last pack like this be great, sure but c'mon...it's just not going to happen.

Last whiles birds in general. Mandarin, secretary, bar headed goose, pelican, parrots, its like being in a candy shop for bird enjoyers
Yeah and all very high quality. That mandarín duck is also incredible. And the pelican makes me wonders why Frontier haven't made one yet. It looks awesome on the swan rig.

You really need to see the Secretary Bird that modders came up with this week.
It is actually insane.

I have to see it ingame though, SEE how it moves. I assume is based on the crane.

3 kind of asían deer? Can't we replace at least one with a pelican or duck? 🤣
Sorry man,my love for deer made it hard to compromise when there was only one piece of DLC left. I have no problem with pelicans, I even really want mandarin ducks, but...compared to what I want most, I have to give them up.

I’ll say if we had to get more Asian deer, I only want/ need two more. Peere David’s deer and Reeves muntjac, I’m from the USA so oddly enough I have only seen a handful of deer species in captivity. This is due to the prion disease known as chronic wasting disease.

Well, I just have one more type than you. The reason is very simple. One for cold climate: White-lipped deer; one type of temperate climate: PD deer or Tufted deer; one type of tropical climate: sambar deer or any muntjac.
