Caracaras are super common where i live. We call them caranchos. They are cool but not very exotic to me haha
Spring 2024 DLC Speculation

Something with a unique rig so we have more options for modders. Any kind of rabbit or hare, any kind of fish, a habitat bird rig that also is able to roost using the current climbing/jumping mechanic, or a song bird or parrot type rig for the walkthrough exhibits…something like that.
Though if we were gonna get a bird with perching mechanics using the current system, I would want to get multiple birds in a pack. Having just one (and most likely the peacock too) would make it a limited mechanic.
I imagine that would be coming in the inevitable sequel unfortunately, I don’t think we will get a bird centered dlc or more free birds anytime soon.
(Unless that is what Frontier meant when they said we would be “happy” with the dlc)

Ugh it drives me nuts the peafowl can’t perch in game. I fear they are leaving more birds for a sequel but we were surprised with the sawn addition so I am holding out hope. If we get any birds for the walkthrough it would be an instant buy for me ha ha

Though it doesn’t belong to Africa, the scarlet ibis also has a ton of cool interspecies bonuses it can work with.
Maybe if the two DLC theory holds true I can get a Central America scenery pack with the following:
- Black Howler Monkey/ any monkey
- White nosed coati
- Scarlet Ibis
- White faced whistling duck
- Two toed sloth WTE (I don’t really care about the exhibit much I’m happy with anything)
Also in non-bird related news, this April break I’m going to North Carolina zoo! So I’m gonna be able to see the Hamadryas baboon finally!
(I still hold it’s fairly likely to get in, granted that still depends on whatever Frontier is cooking)

I think there is potential for a really great safari pack. So i think there are worse ideas for a last pack, but also better ones.
And my opinion on a Safari pack depends heavily on the roster, probably more so than with every single other pack idea
A Safari pack would be amazing even if it’s just Africa, with the right species it could be the best animal pack. However the pack doesn’t seem realistic anyway, I just don’t see a Safari pack theme as a final theme.

It must have made the office space a bit awkward for a sec, granted (in the most polite way possible) they did it to themselves. They:
- Surprise announce WTE
- Add a bat
- Add butterflies
- Add a sloth
- Never deny birds aren’t coming
- The stream obviously had a bias to Oceania animals (kiwi and devil horns, it was coming) and was a fruity colorful drink about pollinating. I wonder what super famous bird, WTE safe for guests and super common in zoos, could match that description perfectly?
Would be acceptable if it wasn't the last pack. But as the last ever dlc it would be a nightmare for me.
