Is the raccoon really that essential? I know it's very common in captivity but I don't remember it ever being a common request in the community. And if so then the swan should also be considered essential imo
Yeah that actually makes quite the sense, but I don't see how that would mean that the new DLC wouldn't be South America/Tropical? Specially when the new DLC for pc will most likely be the last one to be added on console (this assumption simply comes from considering that it makes more sense that they will first adapt to console the DLCs that are already finished, and not one that is still in the works).

Are you sure people are assuming that? Because nothing is pointing out that they would do such a thing. I still believe the next DLC will release a month or so after the console release. Right now all their promotion resources are going to the console version and it makes very little sense that having all the previous DLCs at their disposition to release on console as "new" content, they would focus on adding the next DLC to console at the same time as the pc version.
After what just happened with JWE2, I think we really need to prepare ourselves for a usual, nothing out of the ordinary, $9.99, 4 habitat, 1 exhibit, scenery pack to potentially be the last pack.
Im prepared to be underwhelmed. The stuff that i wanna see seems to be rarely whats put in the packs, so i dont really expect it to change for the next and perhaps final one. Which is a bummer but it is what it is
New type PZ content has that in: always if and when, but never is.
Expect disappointment and you’ll never get disappointed. I have a bit of hope that it is better than normal, but realistically speaking it’s probably gonna be the same as usual.

It’s all pain all the time! I love visiting zoos and seeing all these cute and adorable birds and thinking, can’t do that in my favorite game. I love visiting an indoor rainforest with monkeys and birds and thinking: what a shame. I love the variety of animals that could fit in this games limitations and just aren’t here for an unknown reason not specified! I love how me asking for a duck or other similar birds in a zoo game feels like a Herculean task! I love how after getting the capuchin we didn’t get another New World monkey! But we definitely needed 3 “pigs” in one year (I actually love them being in game and I’m happy they are here, I’m just proving a point)! Well considering the secret species pack has no indicative of being the last JWE2 dlc (quite on the contrary, this looks just like a regular dlc?), despite everyone panicking that neither JWE2 nor PZ got direct confirmation of getting more DLCs after this financial year, the new dlc pretty much confirms to me that JWE2 is still gonna get more dlcs.
Yes that is my point exactly. But that assumption that next pack doesn't contain any of those animals or themes is based on the theory that it is already ready for both console and PC. I personally agree with you. I don't think it will.
Yes. I think it will be underwhelming expectations are too high: we want SA animals but also top wishlist animals, we want birds like ducks and pelicans and secretary bird (other than flamingos and penguins), we want monkeys (more than one), we want coati but also tree kangaroo, we want spectacled bear but also ABB, we want scenery but over 8 animals, etc. There is no way that with all that the next pack will not be underwhelming for most people.
