All JWE2 species in base game for JWE3

Please make all the base game and dlc species in JWE2 available in the base game for JWE3, having to pay for the hybrids and the Huayangosaurus as dlc was a bit annoying we would already be paying for them a third time just by buying a third game save the dlc for new species and attractions instead of filling them with old content

Agreed

Will there be any Dinos left for them to sell as DLC if they do that?
There is a surprising number of dinosaurs left that could be selected as new DLC content, and those are just the dinosaurs. There are many non-dinosaur prehistoric animals to choose from still, from the Paleozoic to the Cenozoic.

Considering all the non Theropods they don't want to add in 2, there's plenty. Not to mention Pterosaurs, Marine Reptiles, Fish, Invertabrates, Synapsids, Archosaurs, and Cenozoic Mammals, Birds, etc. There's PLENTY of animals to sell as DLC.

Are they part of the Movie Universe?

I honestly think that the roster should be decreased to like 70-80 species in JWE3. That number is more than enough imo. With 120+ (!) species the roster is simply too bloated right now to make any significant, highly required improvements to animal AI, behaviours and general animation quality. For this reason alone I highly doubt that breeding and ontogeny will get added for instance, since there are simply way too many species.
Nobody really needs generic hadrosaur clone # 5 and theropod clone # 10.

So I sincerely hope that at least highly redundant species (like for example Dracorex, Archaeornithomimus, Chungkingosaurus etc.) get cut permanently and Frontier focuses more on quality than quanitity.

Most of them do not have an on screen movie appearance, but there are a large number that have been mentioned or listed in the Movies, Show, Novels, Concept work, or are part of the movie's scenery such those in Lockwood's Manor or Segisaurus in the JP Brochure map.

Jurassic World Evolution 2 already has almost all canon dinosaurs that made a screen appearance in the franchise, with the handful of exceptions like Microceratus and Smilodon not being in the game. Jurassic World Evolution 3 has the potential to add them alongside any dinosaur that is connected to the JP universe, as well as any newcomers that will be making their Debut in Jurassic World Chaos Theory show and whatever the next movie will be in 2025.

There are so many species of dinosaurs, flying reptiles, and aquatic reptiles that could be added. Since we know Megalodon will be a part of the game, and if Smilodon is added, it would give an opening to Cenozoic animals to be added as well. Even earlier animals could be DLC since we have species like Dunkleosteus, Lystrosaurus, and Dimetrodon.

As cool as this sounds, I have certain doubts... especially if they intend on adding juveniles; there's 94 terrestrial animals alone and adding juveniles would basically double the work...

Personally, I feel they could cut or replace a few of the more redundant additions... without going into debate over redundant canon (or vaguely canon) additions, Archaeornithomimus, Chungkingosaurus, Dracorex, Nodosaurus, Maradactylus and Megalosaurus seem to bring the least to the game, each one easily replaced by something far more unique, interesting and frankly useful (Pelecanimimus, Tuojiangosaurus, Stegoceras, Edmontonia, Thalassodromeus and Torvosaurus, for example)...

Not like i have anything against them adding to JWE3 everything that now is in JWE2 - so those were genuine questions
Their business model revolves around selling the game, then selling 3-4 PDLC per year - so they have to keep stuff from the initial release to have stuff to add over the years

Given the announcement of the upcoming DLC, it is a good thing all the species that appeared in all the films are already included in Jurassic World: Evolution 2.

Pretty much!

In one DLC announcement, all dinosaurs that made an on screen movie appearance is now available in JWE2, and the roster now contains the complete list of dinosaurs in InGen's list.

To be in topic of this thread. I feel it would very much be the case that the 122 animals would transfer over to the new game.

During the course of JWE2, 84 animals were available at launch with the deluxe edition of the game. 65 of them were from the previous game aside from the hybrids trio which were added later, bumping it to 68.

In the current roster after all the DLC, the completely new animals after JWE1 are:

29 new terrestrial species
11 Aerial species
14 aquatic species

There is a total of 54 new animals added to the roster with Jurassic World Evolution 2, with 16 of them being available from the deluxe launch edition of the game and the remaining 38 being introduced over the next two and a half years as part of the PDLC content.

With the latest DLC being the Park Manager's Collection with a lot of highly requested animals + the Little Eatie Skin, alongside the small free update included, it feels to be the last one to be made for the game, as there is about a year left before the launch of the next movie, and potentially the launch of JWE3 as the movie would be out in the 2026 fiscal year.

I feel like Frontier would be more likely to retain the 122 animals over to the sequel, the sheer content of this roster is a good incentive for new players to jump into the new game instead of playing the old one with all DLC, similar to how JWE1 players got to enjoy their dinosaurs in the new game aside from the hybrids with the deluxe edition of JWE2.

I do not feel like JWE3 would be as big of a jump when it comes to animal behavior and animation as it is from JWE1 to JWE2, so we are likely to see the same animations used in JWE2 in the sequel. I could imagine them advancing the terrestrial dinosaur's navigation for steeper terrain modification and amphibious navigation if deep water is introduced, similar to how the animals navigate and behave in Planet Zoo.

With all of the effort put into these animal models and rigs, as well as the capacity to have aerial, terrestrial, and aquatic animals in the game, I feel like it would be more worthwhile if the current roster is retained in JWE3. New players and players who only played JWE1 would like the larger roster if they missed out on JWE2, and JWE2 veterans would have an easier time transitioning over to JWE3 if all their favorite animals made it into the new game. They could introduce some new animals from the upcoming Chaos Theory and Movie into the base game, as well as some additional animals for the lagoons, aviary, and some fan requested animals like Plateosaurus and Protoceratops.

If they really want to make the roster in the new game interesting, the implementation of amphibious behavior to veteran dinosaurs and new animals like Deinosuchus, as well as the introduction of a healthy roster of Cenozoic animals would really make the starting roster for JWE3 tantalizing. If 16 new animals are introduced in JWE3 alongside the 122 animals from the previous games, with plans in the future to add more amphibious, lagoon, aerial, feathered, favorites, Triassic, Jurassic, Pre-Mesozoic, and Cenozoic that occupy unique positions in the prehistoric animal kingdom, then it would would be a real roster to look forward to.

I just really hope that if JWE3 were to happen, none of the previous animals would get locked away via DLC or are part of the deluxe edition of the game. Players should not pay more for content they had access to prior, especially if said content was part of the base roster in previous games.

As of now including the new DLC, there are no herbivorous dinosaurs of the Triassic period. It is more likely that Plateosaurus and a few other species will be added in the new

The closest we have is the Lystrosaurus, but yeah, more Triassic herbs in the new game and at least one avian animal would be great to cover the triassic roster.

Unfortunately, the Lystrosaurus hardly count as a Triassic herbivore, it is more of a mammal-like reptile that lived in Late Permian. Dr. Kajal Dua said that it survived the Permian-Triassic extinction event.

just by taking only terrestrial dinosaurs, REAL dinosaurs and not terrapsids or others, the answer is YES. There are really a lot of them. And if we take flying and marine reptiles again, the quantity of animals that can potentially be added is absolutely gigantic!
And again, that only if we focus on the Mesozoic! If we also take other eras such as the Cenozoic or the Paleozoic, the quantity of species is almost infinite!

I'm well aware of that, but again, this is not a random generic paleo game.
It's part of the JW / JP Franchise and Universal Pictures most likely has the creative decision here in what animals get in the game.

I Still Hope that Plateosaurus could come in one of the last DLC´s for JWE II in 2024.
After 2024 The whole team of Frontier will for shure only work on JWE III to have it ready in July 2025 to get a nice synergy effect from "JP7" in the Sales ;) !
