Oh goodness no, this place is so chill and silly. Legit the only gaming forum I can think of where I can so much as mention being LBGT without getting squashed with a comically large hammer. The worst that happens here is a goofy disagreement on what bird should get in the game. :>

Well now I really don’t know when the new game is getting announced, we’re almost past the first half of the year which is usually when these type of games get revealed.

Nah. The big driver for me here is the animals and general zoo vibes. I'm sure there's other concepts/ideas that would get me into a game but... It wouldn't be city building.

And to be totally honest, I'm not so sure that a city builder would allow for the type of granular creative building that your average Planet player would want to see anyway. Something focused on small towns or whatever would do much better, I think... Weird as that might feel to say.

It was never confirmed that Frontier would be there. People were just assuming.

I don't know if I should feel bad for the YouTubers who keep posting "planet coaster 2 is coming soon and here's why" videos or blame them for adding fuel to the fire

I think it's fair for them to be speculating but they should all start those videos with a super clear disclaimer that they don't know anything beyond what we all know. One of the more notable people always brings decent evidence to the table and says along with that evidence that they're just speculating but... I think most people don't really pay that close attention.

So the message of "I don't know anything that's not public info but reading between the lines, here's what might happen" becomes "Person A confirmed that Frontier will be presenting a new pasta restaurant simulator/pet care management simulator called Planet Pasta Pets and it will retail for $24.99. It's been confirmed via financial reports."

Also didnt expect nothing in the summer gamefest about frontier games. Probably in gamescom. But I enjoyed a lot, Doom Dark Ages, Gears E day and Killing Floor 3 made my day!

I really hope that they will say something connected to PZ future but it’s definitely not given.
Roadmap would be the most expected option but not really realistic at this point.

Not necessarily. These June reports tend to be pretty high-level and general. I suspect it will reference that Planet Zoo will get more DLC support but that doesn't mean anything considering that we know there's at least one more coming already. So they can keep it general without it necessarily giving us new information. I'm most curious to see if we learn a bit more about how the DLCs have been performing and what console has done sales wise. I forget if there's a presentation that will happen and the public will have access to but those tend to provide the most info.

I am still really baffled that they're willing to go into a call like this without having concrete information on a new game to share. Things are looking much better, but realistically they don't really have anything new formally on the horizon beyond one more PZ DLC (the next PZ one and the onslaught of console DLC through March) and a new Jurassic Park game in FY26. They've got something else slated for FY25 but it'll look pretty weak to say "trust us, it's coming" without sharing even a small bit of new information about what exactly it's going to be...

Exactly that TBH. It'll be interesting to see if they mention anything about JWE2 DLC (spoiler: I suspect they won't) and the next Jurassic Park game.

And I do wonder if they might give a bit more info about when the next CSM game is coming (or, heck, when it might be announced).
