At least they had cojones to ban 600 accounts for exploits. Unlike FDEV 😜

They haven't banned 600 players - they've suspended their ability to test - apparently for 90 days.

Word is that if CiG had banned them they would have been due to a full refund - hence they just get suspended. They might even have done the exploit in the hope of getting a refund ;)
Well, temporary ban. Which is a suspension indeed. But still.

I always knew developement will really start in 2 years. They ahd to build the company, the mocap studio, wait for Covid 19 to happen so they could reorganize and prioritize Manchester studio and then plan the design document.

It's amazing Game of Thrones came and gone during the development of Star Citizen
Amazing right....In this SC development time period we can actually "Slip In" Both World Wars + we can add Russo-Ukrainian conflict because it's still ongoing same as Star Citizen development.......

So, is this still an "alpha" thing being tested, not released, where exploits are par for the course and therefore no one should be suspended for them?
Or is this a released product then?

Either way these suspensions have nothing to do with any "cojones" but are again a result of CIG as usual having no idea what they are doing.

You can add the lifetime of my old Disco 2 to that as well...I've given up welding patches on the chassis and running new brake lines every couple of years so it's getting put out to pasture as an 'island car' (one that'll never pass another MOT). We don't have an MOT requirement on the island anyway...but I need one vehicle at least legally tested to venture over to Mainland (main island) on occasion...or the UK mainland for that matter.

So, Disco 2 relegated to dragging horseboxes around the fields or trips to the island shop. It's a toss-up between a Disco 4 or Disco 5 as a replacement...Disco 4 is more practical for me but a Chelsea tractor Disco 5 has more shiny buttons :)

Come to think of it, the entire lifespan of Land Rover's Discovery 3, 4 and 5 series have been outdated by star citizen's development

Just a funny thought, what if the ban was a devious strategy to free up server load? Presumably these 600 plays a lot.

You need to buy a Toyota. If third world militants can keep them running for decades, it'll probably never die. Might even out live Star Citizen.

Once you've owned a Land Rover...especially a Discovery, you'll never look at a Japanese or European alternative ever again. Brand loyalty for Discovery owners since the Disco first appeared in 1997 is way up there with Harley Davidson on that score...both equally as mechanically agricultural in the end :D

Nothing...I repeat, nothing...can tow a 3.5t trailer weight over every type of farming terrain known to man like a Disco and still shine up nice so you're not embarrassed shoving shopping in it outside Tesco...even the Chelsea tractor Disco 5 is unmatched offroad compared to all the equivalent SUV's. If you're using one properly...outside of piling kids into its 7 seats for the school run... there really is no other alternative 🤷‍♂️
