Tinfoil hat theory, we got the quokka rather than the tree kangaroo since someone thought it would be a great idea to use the tree kangaroo as encouragement for pz2.

Seriously, though. I'm pretty convinced the quokka replaced the tree kangaroo too. Though I think it's more so they could save it for another pack when they realized Oceania already had two heavy-hitters, a cute bird, and they could replace it with a cute animal the people on the Internet love.
And, honestly, whenever I think about this all I can see/hear is the CEO's face saying "the adorable quokka" as if everybody was going to know exactly what he was talking about.
I would definitely prefer the mirroring tool over scaling. Having the ability to make certain things symmetrical would be so great, scalings good but its too overwhelming for me, maybe for stuff like lettering, foliage, rocks and signs it would be good but I can't see me wanting to go super detailed by scaling so many things.
Yeah scaling is something that definetly come in handy in alot of scenerios, but it would also push the building complexity and skill ceiling through the roof, which would be very daunting.
I would definetly want i for signs and fonts + art shapes tho
It's definitely daunting. But the freedom with fonts, foliage, and art pieces would be really nice. I'm sure some people would get aggressive with it and do super detailed builds but most would just build as planned and use it to fix smaller things. There's so many little ways scaling could be used to help builds along it's hard to
not want it for me (e.g., shrinking a bush slightly so the leaves don't push through the wall next to it).
I've always felt like it would be a really great end of development feature because it would sort of be a way to "hand the keys" over to the community, so to speak. Especially if we aren't getting a TMTK...
