Here’s hoping something happens this week, don’t know how much longer I can keep saying this though. It’s gonna be funny if the dlc isn’t coming out until the fall. If that’s the case do we ditch this one?

If it was only one it would be a grided mesh building set with different sizes and shapes including walls and ceilings/roofs.
With everyone discussing the new pc2, what if its gonna be the source of the next few updates?
It should be in the same engine as planet zoo so transfering features over should be as close to copy and paste as it can be and with the new building themes, pathvsystem, plants, ways to place water, etc there are quite a few.
For example we could get an unrelated animal pack with some of the QoL changes like for example a south america pack with some of the new plants and the object scaling and afterwards a coastal scenery pack with pieces from the new waterpark set in pc2 and the path and water update in the free update?
Selling the same content twice sounds like easy money to me and they would "only" need to create some animals to go along with it.

It has leftover swimming animations which they do not have, even if it doesn’t use it ingame
I'm scared any introduction of the new path system would break every single save file knowing how buggy the last few updates have been. I think we could see some things like the foliage and decorations around the aquatic theme as that could tie in with a coastal / general zookeepers pack but major features like the water and paths are likely key features of a second game (if it ever comes).
Coastal involves lakes too & not just the sea.
I chose the Glaucous Macaw because I thought it would be a good choice for conservation if you know what I mean. I think it's still around because I think we got the colours of it wrong. I mean the illustrations of the bird are wrong.

I think it's unlikely, regardless of if they can, it's in their best interest to keep PC2 unique for a while, being the shiny full price product for pre-order.
The plants would be pretty easy, and I think that'd be the extent of it, though likely not all of them.

I’m even starting to wonder if they will say/ do anything for PZ in the next unlocked. Having both no PC or console information is not gonna be fun to see. Maybe if we are lucky we will get a teaser or something.
They did so with JW2 right? It could be a possibility...
Yeah I think they’ll do the same thing they did with JWE2 in the next unlocked stream, have someone pop up on screen letting us know the DLC will be coming in the next few weeks, while having an animal in the background to keep us on our toes. Then an announce at the end of August and a release early September, using the August stream to advertise for the pack in between.

I hope so, the unlocked should be next week so hopefully this wait won’t be forever. I’m also open to the chance they literally say nothing and just focus on PC2.
Part of me wonders though if they give teasers based on how they think the reception will be. They teased the megaladon as everyone was asking for it, so I can see Frontier teasing a monkey/bird or something related. Or it’s just continued radio silence and we get 20 seconds of news for the console. Then they talk about elite dangerous. We will see.
I doubt there is really any news for planet zoo for the next stream, it's probably just going to be planet coaster discussions, another ai update for the annual F1 game and 30 minutes of another update with new ship skins for elite dangerous.
FWIW, the JWE2 pack was teased in the Unlocked on April 24th and announced on May 13th (~2 weeks later). So it's entirely possible that they reference the Planet Zoo pack in a similar way and announce something 1-3 weeks later for late August or early September. Not a reveal or anything like that but a simple "Hey! We're still working on this thing and we have more news in the coming weeks. Don't worry and stay tuned!"
I've said this before, but I think this makes a lot of logical sense. Teasing Planet Zoo info and teasing Planet Coaster gameplay in the same stream would get both player bases watching. And if they position it so they're showing the PlanCo gameplay first and immediately follow it up with the Planet Zoo bit that would get the Planet Zoo players watching the PlanCo stuff as they wait.
I don't imagine we'd get a pathing overhaul this late in the game. It would be nice but... I do think it might run the risk of creating issues with existing things. I can't imagine what it would do to some of those plazas created with freebuild.
Arguably, things like scaling or even that mirroring tool could be implemented without a worry because it would be on an item-level and nothing would change unless the user did it themselves.
A water overhaul might be okay in this regard too depending on how they implemented it. A little "stamp"-style tool to place down plaster or concrete pools could be really nice. Especially when building smaller indoor habitats. Stuff can get real finnicky in those!

Thinking about it, it would make sense for there TO BE planet zoo news, because this is probably going to be the most popular stream yet, because it has what everyone wants, the PC2 gameplay. So sneaking in a Planet Zoo teaser either before or right after the PC2 segment would get a lot of attention and spark peoples interest for planet zoo, at least that’s my prediction.

This is my thinking too. But it would probably have more to do with maximizing the of people watching the PC2 gameplay, and getting some of the new PZ players to give PC2 a chance, rather than getting people interested in PZ. Because if it's just a vague tease about an upcoming DLC it's not like they're going to convert any PlanCo players that weren't already on-board.
But if they do the PC2 gameplay first the PZ players will be watching all that. You might get some people you might not have otherwise watching the PZ news but I'm not sure how much that would convert people (and the PZ players are gonna watch for that part anyway).
You would think now would be the time to do it, but I’ll say the way the handled some of the PZ news makes me think they will still get through it as quick as possible.
“Ok I am legally contracted to talk about PZ, here is a teaser of your stupid animal. Now I can finally get back to talking about Elite Dangerous and F1!”
