DLC18 discussion and predictions

Oh, this is a good one. Haha. It's the tree kangaroo and coati for me, though!

The trickiest part of this exercise, for me at least, was choosing between an animal I really love (coati) and animals that fill a much-needed niche in the broader game (howler, secretary bird, waterfowl).

Another day another dream about the next DLC lmao.
It was randomly announced, similar to how Barnyard was. The community was excited for it, it brought 10+ animals to the game the ones I remember being the common wombat (I guess my subconscious forgot we already got that one lmao), maleo, and blue-and-gold macaw with a proper flying mechanic. The rest of the dream was me attempting to enter the forum and check the entire species list but constant pop-ups and distractions prevented me from doing so and I got really frustrated ahaha.
It's the first time I dream about PZ DLC's and the actual content of the DLC is good, the rest were dreams about terrible packs ahahaha.

It should be in the same engine as planet zoo so transfering features over should be as close to copy and paste as it can be and with the new building themes, pathvsystem, plants, ways to place water, etc there are quite a few.
I really wish it was, but it's almost never as simple as just copy pasting.

We don't even know if PC2 is on the same Cobra engine version as Planet Zoo yet, and on top of that there's a myriad of reasons that could make it that that code from PC2 is just not compatible with Planet Zoo.

For instance, pathing in Planet Zoo has different requirements than Planet Coaster. Where in Coaster it's a way to get from A to B, in Planet Zoo it's that but it's also what determines viewing points for habitats. So when they updated the pathing for Coaster, there could be a very real possibility that they did not account for those extra use-cases and that could be cause for it not to be able to be introduced in Planet Zoo without major changes again.

Going from the examples that we have, being the aviary system of JWE2, systems that are available in one game are not always easily transferable to the other game, regardless of them being on the same version 🤷‍♂️

question, if planet zoo does a polar pack/antarctica pack what would be your roster?

For me it would be:
Musk Ox [Headliner]
Pacific Walrus/Leopard Seal
Chinstrap penguin
Puffin
Sea Otter
Snowshoe Hare
Stoat
Snow Owl/Lemming [E]
Here's my idea for a Polar pack.

Alright time for a game - You can only choose 2 to guarantee in the final pack.
Both the pelican and the duck. They're more than different enough to warrant including both and as much as I'd love every other animal here I'd probably ditch nearly any to do so. Otherwise then just that aquatic bird slot and the tree roo easily, preferably the mandarin duck but I'd be happy with the pelican too.

Random question but does anyone know what the deal with JWE is? By the looks the
Recent one is the last, but did frontier say anything on the matter?
Isn’t it normal for Frontier to say nothing? Not to mention I’m pretty sure with JW having a new movie coming out a new game will be sure to follow.

Is not announcing the end of support a normal thing in the industry? I've seen certain games announce development ending but that's usually just games that have been around for a long time. In the case of JWE2 it just feels super weird not to since they've already kinda soft-announced the next game.
