At this point I think it’ll be one of two scenarios:
1. Minimal effort now the game seems to be wrapping out. More likely to be a clone species and something easy to make with again some new souvenirs or something. My bet would be American Flamingo - has been bubbling away in the background almost since launch and would be a good final ‘clone’.
OR:
2. It’s gonna be whatever animal is highly requested/unique but doesn’t fit in whatever packs are lined up before DLCs end. The Collared Peccary very much felt like it was the ‘excess’ animal of some upcoming South American animal pack many seem to think we will be getting. There were/are more than 7 highly requested South American species so they gave one of the less exciting ones as an anniversary animal as a way of getting more SA in the game before support ends. I could see that again and as such it has to be something that is unlikely to fit any remaining themes. Goodfellow’s Tree Kangaroo perhaps? Seems unlikely we will see Oceania again in a pack form. Blackbuck? Again, India seems like it won’t be getting any attention before the game ends. Or maybe one last highly rated African species as I doubt we’ll have another Africa based pack. Secretary Bird? Serval? African Spurred Tortoise? Hamadryas Baboon?
