Oh right I forgot it’s literally the last day of July. Well we still have all of August, and then 21 days of September before fall.
Alright where to begin lol

Well, all this extra time did lend to the theory the pack will be bigger than normal. So we can start there.
- This pack will have more animals than usual
- This pack will have the same amount as a regular animal pack, but a ton of props
- This pack will have a mix of both
- This pack will have the normal amount of animals, but will have a major gameplay change like flying or swimming
cuz it is a zoo gam! So wild it isyou had to say "wild" in yak
On a more serious note.... this is how I would do a (in my opinion) good Steppe Pack.
- Yellow-throated Marten
- Black-footed Ferret
- Domestic Yak
- Asian Wild Donkey
- Demoiselle Crane
- Patagonian Cavy
- Pallas' Cat
5. A ton of birds with new realistic bird props
Wait, Planet zoo originally came out on the 5th of November, which is a Tuesday this year… could the dlc actually land on the anniversary?
i knew it, its gonna be a anniversary dlc to mark the death
we have a long wait to go but it "should" be worth it
I wouldn’t be surprised at this point. I’m open to anything. I’m fine with the game ending but the wait to see what it is is killing me. I just want to rip the bandaid off, or at the very least we start getting cryptic hints about what the dlc could be.
That has been one of my theories since they said that they were going to release the pack "later this year" i never really expected a summer reléase tbh
Im convinced of an anniversary pack for many reasons but the falling on a tuesday to me basically means there is not other option.
- anniversary is on a Tuesday the day pretty much every pack has released on
- 5 years is a big milestone and it represents their longest running supported cms game
- one of the 2 major themes we have been discussing for month is a keeper collection pack
- unless stated otherwise it is really likely PZ2 is coming in 2026 so PZ needs to die soon and using the last pack as a celebration seems likely
Even though the pack may release on the anniversary I don’t think the actual theme will change from earlier. I still think it will be called a Zookeeper Collection Animal Pack, just with a couple more animals.
Makes sense to jump to Autumn/Fall since we're probably not getting a summer pack (though it's still summer until the 21st?/22nd? of September).
If it's not a Latin America-New World/Americas type of pack or a zookeepers finale pack, I'm probably going to be disappointed since it's very very possible this is the final pack. However:
We know for nearest-to-possible-certain that it won't be flying birds or aquariums. So no need to hope for this only to be let down.
Please no focus on Africa or Asia, unless it's a few animals each in a zookeeper's collection (Secretary Bird, Hamadrayas Baboon, Honey Badger, Markhor, Blackbuck, Cobra seem decent picks IMO). OTOH, Africa and Asia have had no animals this year, but neither has North America and South America has the Alpaca. But last year we got a lot from the Old World. Time to move over to the New World one last time.
We can hope and PraEy there will not be a focus on ungulates, more than 2 would be getting to bloat mark.
We want more primates and habitat birds, but realistically, it's probably very unlikely we'd get more than 2 of either, if even that much. New World Monkey, Baboon, Secretary Bird, Duck/Pelican
We can barely bear the fact that there is a bare minimum of bears from the Americas in the game, time to add at least one more.

Yeah I don’t think any regional specific or biome specific pack is in the cards anymore if I’m being honest. To close the game out properly they need to include all of the continents (excluding Antarctica). I’m sorry everyone who wants a dedicated Latin America pack but I really don’t see it, not as the finale pack, and not as a fall pack. I can only see a keeper collection pack.
