I'd say given that they've been talking about the Frontier dictionary and whether certain animals listed could be in the next DLC for what seems like the last 50 pages...there's a hefty amount of boredom here.
I dunno, the Tasmanian devil in the trailer still doesn’t make actual devil noises, they’re the same sounds they make in the game for the most part.
I’ve spent so much time with PZ devils (which I love to death regardless) that I’ve completely adjusted to the sounds they make, and I appreciate that the devs at least put the time in to make fully custom noises for them if they didn’t have access to the real deal. But gaaah, it still hurts my soul a little every time I think about what could have been, they’ll forever be missing something without their proper sounds.

So with what we got:
Africa: Hamadryas + Secretary from the dictionary
Oceania: Tree roo + Echinda from the dictionary
All 4 of these are unique and pretty cool, i doubt anybody would have a problem with their inclusion
Europe: Duck + Pelican gives us the quintessential birds for the very generous price of no carnivoran and ungulate from europe, nice
Asia: Blackbuck + Muntjak cause if theres any continent actually happy to get some ungulate love it would be asia
South America: Mara + Rhea are just a needed combo
North America: Coati + Spider Monkey would give us 2 os the most wanted animals for south america in north america and im sure everyone is happy with that
And even then i could still go on about more animals, this game really could make use of 20 more animals ngl
Honestly I don’t know about you guys, but I would be down for a Conservation pack sequel. There is a lot of species that zoos help save, and I think one conservation pack isn’t enough. Here are some species off the top of my head and from the AZA SAFE program:
- Golden lion tamarin
- Peere David’s deer
- Red wolf
- Black footed ferret
- Guam Rail
- Anoa
- Nene
- Prairie Chicken
- Andean flamingo
- Andean bear
- Cuban crocodile
- Coral
- Colobus monkey
- California condor + Vultures (hot take, but from what I’ve seen in zoos, I think they can work in game)
- Freshwater mussels
- Pupfish
- Key beach mouse
- Radiated tortoise
- Sea turtles
- Whooping crane
- Wyoming toad
- Blandings turtle
I would agree, ive seen an open topped vulture enclosure recently, well it was an enclosure for cameroon sheep, guineafowl and marabou and there happend to be one vulture in there aswell, so idk if what its deal was. Although i think to remember the whole wing clipping is being phased out?
Which might be a hot take but idk if thats necessarily always the best for the birds (depending on species ofc). I saw a video of a new pelican aviary where someone pointed out that he wasnt sure if the birds do have a better quality of life in a usually smaller aviary and being able to fly than being kept on those huge mixed savannah enclosures but being grounded. And honestly i think you can make an argument for the second option being the better one.
And while i think the no flight route works fine for all the normally flighted pirds we have in game aswell as stuff like ducks, pelicans and so on, going that route for vultures isnt something i think frontier could get away with. Similar to like macaws and stuff, flying is way to engrained into the perception of vultures by people to not include it.
And especially for more casual players a terrestrial vulture would probably be pretty perplexing

Given that Planet Coaster 2 releases on Wednesday, November 6th I'd assume we'll be getting the pack before the anniversary. I don't really see them doing two releases in the same week, especially given how much they're hinging on PlanCo2.
So I think a release just before the anniversary is more likely. Maybe one of the last two weeks in October?
I hope the modders can break the code in that regard and can start adding new sounds to the game
I would highly doubt it, if I had to guess a good portion of players play both games. Releasing the dlc May take some people away from PC2. Likewise, I’m sure that would be an issue with YouTubers who help spread the hype and news. Imagine trying to market for the dlc of one game, and only giving everyone a handful of hours to talk about it.
It just makes less sense than to release the dlc in October at some time.
Assuming that LQA update from last week is correct (it didn't update in the Depot section, despite listing Depot 703081 as usual. It also lists an extra Depot that relates to the Deluxe upgrade extras, unlike previous ones) then it has to be sooner, with the max of 5 weeks putting it in mid October.
I'm decently confident on getting an announcement trailer before the next stream, but we'll see what happens.
That was my guess until they left the anniversary date suspiciously free and releasing PC 2 the day after the PZ anniversary. So i'm sure we will get something for the anniversary but would be a weird marketing move to release a DLC for their most popular game right now one day and a whole new game the next day that will surely take all the atention. So my guess now is either in october and then an anniversary celebration OR first some small anniversary gift and then the pack for Christmas.

I'm still leaning toward Frontier "celebrating" the Planet Zoo anniversary a full week early, potentially even making it a bigger part of the stream than usual, so as not to conflict with Planet Coaster 2 at all. Releasing the DLC/update on Tuesday, 10/29 and then talking about it on the livestream feels pretty appropriate to me, TBH.
And I still think seeing some synergy between Planet Zoo and PlanCo2 with the anniversary update would be really cool. Maybe adding one of the new shops to Planet Zoo along with a carousel or something... And giving fans access to a 20% discount code for PlanCo2 and/or related future DLC by logging in after DLC purchase or something. I'm not expecting it, but it would be pretty effective I think.
