Yeah, as someone from NA, there are very few NA animals that "need" to be in-game or at least have enough support from the community, and even most of those have their range extend into other continents, and even then I can live without them

These aren't bad animals at all, like the dik-dik would be great for tropical houses due to its size, but no Latin American animals would be a shame. Hoping the dictionary names are some sort of fluke or whatever, or there will be more animals in the pack. I don't want to end the game with the last two SA animals being added from the last two years being the alpaca and sloth
Also I didn't catch the tortoise's name, was it also found in the dictionary or is this just a roster filler?
I do see it, although not for the spurred specifically tbh. Like the red footed would have been really cool

Actually, the more I think about the dictionnary, the more logical it seems to me (considering Oceania as new world this time):

I really hope this doesn't turn out to be the roster tbh. Baboon, tree roo, and echidna are all amazing, but the rest? All fine animal picks in a vacuum, but pretty bum for a final pack. Do we really have to squeeze two more (admittedly more unique than usual, but really not priority) ungulates in? I know two doesn't sound like much compared to what we've gotten recently, but with how well the group has been treated I really have no desire for either of these in a final pack, at least. I can't help but think of how much better those two slots could be utilized. Another bird? Hell, even three birds? Another monkey? Almost anything from Latin America, even a pudu instead of the dik-dik if ungulates are that unavoidable?
Plus, only one - admittedly cool, fan-favorite - bird, but one that really doesn't help the roster situation beyond just being a bird at all. No waterfowl - or any small filler bird (victoria crowned pigeon, himalayan monal, a pheasant, a guineafowl, a ground hornbill, something? While I'm not expecting one at this point, its insane that we somehow still don't have anything for that niche on land beyond the peafowl, especially considering just how common they are in zoos.) - no NW monkey - or anything from Latin America? The sifaka is interesting, but it just feels like uneccasary work that could be but into a far more needed animal.
Happy for those who like this at least (if this does turn out to be it, which I really doubt, don't take this as me complaining about something that hasn't even happened. Though I guess it still has more picks I'd be excited about than the last three animal packs.) If this wasn't a final pack then these are all decent enough picks, but there is no excuse of "X animal will get in next time" this go around. I'm expecting to be a bit dissapointed just to keep expectations in check, but I would be a bit surprised if Frontier managed to ignore the needs for South America at the very least. Nothing from there at all would be wild.

I can see Frontier doing that with flying birds and aquatic animals but rejecting a full continent while it really needs more representation seems very stupid to me. And I really can't imagine the dev team puting a lot of energy in creating a model for the sifaka but not doing the quite simple coati, which is at the 1st place of the meta wishlist. Either we're missing a lot of things here, either there will be another pack but I really don't see Frontier closing the game without the coati.
If there is 8 animals that doesn't mean that's all of them... 8 is already bigger than the usual of 7.
Also I refuse to believe South America got completely shafted, no way Frontier is this tone deaf or I will actually be shocked... Like they have made baffling choices in the past but we have been screaming about South American representation for years. The sifaka is cool but would honestly feel like a spit in the face if we got two primates and no New World monkey.

Nice community guessing work, BUT I would be very surprised if even half of these animals are finally in the pack.
Frontier devs are expert on curveballs, they have surprised us in almost every DLC.
Honestly, that potential roster is strong for me. Some amazing picks and some I don’t necessarily need but are functionally different than a lot of other animals… And great for smaller habitats!
I wouldn’t write-off South American animals just yet. It’s possible they haven’t fully updated the dictionary yet. Especially if a few new ones were added in this round.
I do wonder if some of the words we’re seeing are a mix of what’s coming and cut content. Because it’s not necessarily one or the other… But honestly, if the roster as we think it stands were to have 3-4 LA animals in addition? I would have zero complaints.

Gentlemen, we are at a Pack with Sifaka, Dik-Dik, Hamadryas, Markhor, Tree Kangaro, Markhor, and Secretary.

Sir, that is not a "Lemur" that is a super active hyper jumping destroy of all worlds that makes my Madagascar representation go super saiyanUgh.
Like, yeah all animals are individually cool and useful and most of them have been requested but really? The very last pack turns out to have only one bird, no american animals at all and they go with ANOTHER lémur instead of a NWM?
I hope this is not what we get. Or that it is a 12 animal pack. Or that there is another pack for Christmas.

Our Current roster is looking like a Dik Dik, Hamadryas, Markhor, Tree Kangaroo, African Spurred, Secretary, Short Beaked Echidna and Sifaka.
Lets analyze this, Sifaka could bring good animations and hopefully they do its iconic walk animation. Hamadrya's was always beloved, we always looked for a "Small Ungulate" but it was never Dik Dik but instead Pudu or Muntjac. Secretary has always been a ZT1 Classic, Markhor is a beloved caprine by many, African Spurred does bring another tortoise to the game but I don't know how to feel. Tree Kangaroo I freaking love with the Short Beaked.
The only thing that's keeping this pack was more birds, a monkey and LA Representation. But for me, I never believed in that happening because of PZ's past. So ngl, yeah I'm going to freaking love this pack while still mourning a Coati.
So the conclusion?
Frontier did fulfill most of the meta Wishlist asks being Hamadryas, Markhor, Tree Kangaroo, Secretary. Short Beaked Echidna is almost but is mostly in Top 30s, we did ask for a Small Ungulate but never what type, only like guessing. People did want another reptile and another tortoise so here comes the Spurred! Sifaka is the oddball, its a primate and technically is another primate so two primates yes.
Our lost is no LA Representation, 1 bird which I always thought was going to be the limit. But other then that I can really see Youtubers and Players having fun with these new Animals.
