DLC18 discussion and predictions

I just wouldn’t assume that it’s the “full” and final roster. Some of them may have been cut content slotted in by mistake, some may be fully accurate. Likewise, there may be some words not yet added…

We’ll find out next week probably. But in the mean time? No harm in getting hyped and excited… Or feeling anxious about your wants not making it in.

I’m feeling about 50% excited (I do like these animals) and 50% let down and disappointed.

I guess we will see by Monday or Tuesday we could all be wrong

For me its really the duality of this.

Like looked at in a vaccum and taken for face value this is probably easily my favorite animal pack, but at the same time im kinda sad for everything that will (seemingly) be left out. Really conflicting

Yeah same. Although the Grasslands animal pack and North América Animal Pack are still better than this one imo.

I agree at face value this pack is awesome, this is just my fatigue of 4 years of being drip fed some new stuff every once in awhile. I’m just annoyed that the stuff that was an issue at the start of the game (South America, Monkeys, and Birds) just has not got the same amount of focus as other issues. I have bought every dlc, and I will probably get this one. I would love to just have 1 dlc that fits my needs a bit more?

Maybe I’ll be lucky, duck is in the dictionary too. Or maybe we are all lucky and macaw shows up for the WTE. I’m not counting my chickens before they hatch. But I’m getting mixed feelings if the dictionary stuff is 100% true.

I have bought every dlc, and I will probably get this one. I would love to just have 1 dlc that fits my needs a bit more?

Yes. Me too. This so much. Like all of the DLCs of last year while nice and despite some of them having animals that i love (swan, takin, gibbons, kiwi) really didn't really excite me much. I think the last pack that really loved was the Grasslands animal pack (other than being very happy with tropical and Oceania building pieces). It would be nice to get at least a couple of the things inwant before the end. Secretary does count for me though since it is one of my favorite birds in general, but oh man do i need a rhea much more for my projects haha

For me I would have loved a rainforest pack, or maybe some sort of tropical house pack. Likewise another South America or Bird pack would have been nice.

It just feels odd that the stuff we have talked about for the past, two years maybe, is not the main focus of the pack. But, considering the financial report more DLCs are plausible.

Well impala is in Nyala's (I think) zoopedia entry, so that might be that.

Impala along with the Civet were in old version of dictionary (how many times I wrote this word today), Hamadryas, Godfellow, Echidna...etc all came later

let’s not forget a good amount of the animals referenced in the dictionary are only due to other pre existing animals. It’s possible we are off the mark a bit, as maybe a number of the new species mentioned are either scrapped or just referenced by another animal.

every animal here is fantastic (though I would infinitely prefer Matschie's as the tree kangaroo) but as a potential final pack it's really lacking. It's going to hurt if there's truly no more habitat species from the Americas, after not getting a single one in 2023 either.

I'm not caught up on this thread yet though so I guess I'll see if there's any further developments, or where the speculation heads.

Well at least people can actually use the sifaka in any zoo without feeling out of place or unrealistic. Still through, the sifaka is easily a top 5 primate for me as every zoo recreation I build has them in mixed primate or Madagascar areas.

Chat, I think Sifaka is a goated choice and the best oddball that could have ever happened, you may hate it now. But I think you'll find to adore it once, the HOPEFULLY add the fun walk animation.

Genuinely, I see this pack as a GENIUNE WIN!!!! R.I.P. South America and Ducks but Sifaka, Markhor, Hamadryas and Tree Kangaroo is like heaven coming upon me.
