DLC18 discussion and predictions

Ok idk if I'm going crazy or not, but I thought I saw someone say this, but did someone talk about how that if this is a zookeeper's collection, that there would be "mini-themes" or whatever, and that the three we saw today were just the three in the highland/mountain theme, and that we would get other sets of themed animals within the pack (tropical, arboreal, grasslands, etc). Sounds better than what we might get with just a highland pack, but it could be too good to be true.
I think it is too good to be true. I feel like the lanterns and prayer flags on the art are a dead giveaway for mountains/asia

In my opinion, if they wanted to tease a Zookeepers Pack, they wouldn’t have heavily teased it with a bunch of highland animals. They’d put a little bit of everything.

True but then again maybe they have a bunch of random scenery for each theme? Idk it's to good to be true.
Also the person with the original idea was AndyZoos, so I wasn't going crazy

It could be but we really have no reason to assume it is. As PZ is selling well, even after some less well-received DLCs, I would think it much more likely that we have two more DLCs coming in the next year. For the upcoming one - which I expect to be Highlands/Mountains/Alpine - it may be like Barnyard, where we have 7 habitat species and some scenery.

Sounds cool ngl. But i think if you have a pack with 4 themes in one it would be kinda strange to not emphasize that in the pack art

Is it though? The baboon is more commonly found in Africa and we just got the Eurasia pack which was already a semi-Asia pack.
I agree we just got Eurasia, though maybe I am thinking this because I know a Asia Pack would not include a hyrax
Possibly a duck or salamander?!?!
A duck would reuse the swan rig and the salamander as a habitat seems unlikely, I would say Tree Kangaroo and/or Rock Hyrax would take this position(s)

oh no no no, I was thinking along the lines of each theme had its own key art, and they would eventually reveal it all over the course of the announcement week, and today they just showed us one as a teaser.
I don't actually think this will happen, but my damn brain is like really liking the idea and I don't want to get hopium for a good idea when it'll eventually get squashed by a simple highlands pack without an elk in it.

I would not mind that, maybe

Highlands
Pallas Cat
Hamadryas Baboon
Markhor

Rainforest
South American Coati
Black Howler Monkey
Goodfellow's Tree Kangaroo

Shrublands
Secretary Bird
Greater Rhea
Black Buck

Yes exactly! That's what I had in mind (I'm really bad at explaining my thoughts via text lol)! They could do 4 sets of 3 animals if Frontier was all on board with the 200 animal milestone. I'm def not on the whole 200 animals is a must, but it would be cool

Shrublands is honestly such a good sleeper pick for an animal pack.

Also man now I'm realising how awesome blackbuck would have been instead of African leopard
It really is, like you can hand out alot of animals that fill empty spots in the roster. The patagonia duo come to mind here, but also blackbuck and grey langur for india, secretary as the popular animal and honey badger for the meme status and big range across africa, middle east and india. Personal pick for me would be the argentine tegu as a way to sneak a new habitat reptile and versatile south american animal in

That would be fantastic. Though I'd still mourn not getting the Spectacled Bear, I can deal.

Highlands: the three we saw today
Central America - White Nosed Coati, Yucatan Black Howler Monkey, Ocelot
Ground birds - Secretary Bird, Pelican species, Duck species
Tundra - American Black Bear, OR WAIT - Spectacled Bear, Muskox, Walrus.

I'd add in African Safari but with the Secretary Bird and Hamadryas Baboon already included, what's the point? I mean, Honey Badger would be great but that's about it.

I know, no Tree Kangaroo but I'm also giving up my Bear!!!

If its Highlands (I think it is) I hope for a Marco Polo Sheep, Ethiopian Wolf, Rock Hyrax and Common Pheasant. Assuming its not the final pack.
If its the final pack it would be better to have Guanaco and Andean Bear replace the Wolf and Sheep.
