You could go with a waterfowl species, maybe a cackling goose? Many of the species in Branta are found in and around the Arctic

Technically yes, there are 4 holdings in the US 2 of which are sea world.
Reminds me how many times I went to SouthWick Zoo in Massachusetts and EVERY SINGLE TIME THE WHITE RHINO WAS NOT ON EXHIBIT OR HIDING IN THE BARN

Not in New England, as far as I’m aware they are only at SouthWick Zoo. In the NorthEastern United States you can also see them at the Bronx Zoo.
I checked zoochat and at some point they were in Orlando, but I think they just started remodeling the habitat when I was there, so you might be right and they were still there when I visited. So I was so close to actually seeing them. Looks like I have to go back when I know they're on display
Speaking of missing rare animals, when i was at duisburg i missed all of the devils, wombats and echidnas which made me real sad.
Well in return i saw really active tree kangaroos and koalas, so you win some you lose some i guess
At Monarto, there's a shelter area where you're encouraged to touch a white rhino during a talk (6 years ago). I never did, because I'm a coward.
Missing an rare or liked animal seens to be a rule among people who like animals and goes to zoos. Last time i went to the São Paulo zoo i didn't see the african wild dogs, the last ones of the country.
I don't think we need the musk ox, but having them would be really cool, like look at this fella! And the funny thing is, they're not even that massive, they're a bit smaller than you think they are. And they're also so Ice Age looking (well they are duh)
Point Defiance Zoo?
It’s wild how something that’s normal to you like a walrus since I live in Orlando and have been to SeaWorld most of my life, is rare for others and effects what you find normal in zoos. I really want Walrus’s and other sea creatures cause it’s been normal and part of my life but for others this is foreign. A good reminder of perspective
Ugh Musk Ox are beautiful I really want them and walrus to be satisfied with my Arctic areas
