Not trying to sound rude or anything but you said it exactly in your post. The keyword is AMERICAN. So much of the game’s audience is from the US and China. Which both of those zoos lack some animals zoo nerds all know (Walrus, Musk Ox, Shoebill, Secretary Bird).
Crowned or Coquerel’s?
I am "AMERICAN", Europe is also a massive playerbase with a good few in Africa, South America and Oceania
Frontier is a British studio, so the animal choices are naturally going to swing to what's more common in nearby facilities. Regardless of where you're from, this is a reality of the roster-building process.
I don't care, I would take any. I'm more into the great way the interact. But If I could choose, Crowned.
I'm America and I know what other regions zoo's own. It is not that hard, this is like saying "I'm too lazy to research about other regional animals and zoos, so I'm gonna stick with the zoo down the road."
Just curious but why crowned? The US has Coqurel’s and they are probably the more recognizable one.

I wouldn’t mind it but well let’s just say the community would hate it.
Your say this ironically but compared to diversity and captivity rates we are quite low on rodents with only 4. Also leopard seal is my most wanted animal at the momentMight as well throw in leopard seals since the first 3 animals are barely in captivity
Last spot could go to something like muskrats, never hurts to have more rodents.
