Yes! I really appreciate that we got a number this time around!

I've also released gharials so far (and just put some newly matured ones on the market too) and they counted just fine.
Sadly Chinese Pangolin did not count. I just released a couple and despite them living in India they did not count towards the challenge. Which is a shame because they're usually not too difficult to get to 3 stars pretty quick.

Edit; Eurasian lynx isn't counting either. :/ Another animals I usually easily get to 3 stars that won't be any help that I was counting on...
Edit 2; Dhole is not working either. Seems we have another bugged out challenge where a bunch of animals doesn't count for some reason. I've released 2 gharial, 2 chinese pangolin, 2 eurasian lynx and 2 dhole so far and only the gharial has counted towards the challenge...

Interesting.
Found another website that talks about wildlife in the Indian Sub Continent and they had animals from the Himalayas as well .. so worth trying those as well. Such as the Red Panda.
Nevermind, had a 3 star Red Panda and it didn't count.

Did some zoo hopping and found 3 Wild Water Buffalo with 3 and 4 stars that should have been valid ... unfortunately, whether it was due to releasing them before it had fully connected to it ( it said 'connecting' when I looked at the challenge ) But they didn't count either.
Caracal with 3 stars didn't count either.
And I had a 5 star Red Fox that didn't count. But that was an outsider only having a visual for the area but not being mentioned.

None of my zoos had any other 3 stars to test out unfortunately.

Same here - zoo losing money as the guests aren't impressed with all those Dhole breeding pens

Wasn't sure where your list is only showing No's. but I can fairly obviously confirm that Indian Elephant, Indian Rhino & Indian Peafowl are definitely working
And I now have a snazzy pair of shorts :)

Sloth bears don't count, how come? They're iconic for India, aren't they? 🥲

Edit: I checked it this morning, I released a 4 stars male and it didn't count 🙁

Thanks for that info .. I have Peafowls across multiple zoos in the hopes some will reach 3 star before I have to get rid of them due to space rofl.
And, just set up an Elephant group.

Super helpful, shame I have quite a few dholes and pangolin prepped to release. I've got a bunch of others to try when I'm home later so should hopefully get an answer on some of the others

I've grabbed one of my 2mil old alphabet zoos and rigged up a huge habitat for Rhino, Otter and Binturong. Will see how they work out. Rhino we know works.
