Yeah and it seens like our "suffering" won't end so soon, considering about the dictionary leak and our current knowings about the potential next dlcs. Granted, the spec bear might makes thing better as the South American bear.

I mean, seeing we have park simulators confirmed for FY26 and FY27, we may expect a Planet Zoo 2 in about 2 to 2 and a half years from now. As the current game reaches completion, we will likely get a select few high demand species, with the likely sequel going for revamped mechanics (stuff seen in Planet Coaster 2, perhaps retouched exhibits, perhaps aquarium and aviary support).

I throughly expect Prehistoric Kingdom's upcoming revamp or their mini exhibits to influence the approach of the equivalent in a second Planet Zoo game.

I suppose it's Columbia pictures, though being a branch of Sony you'd think it'd still be on the PS store.

All the other stuff is Universal pictures, so I guess it's just under the same agreement as Jurassic, at least for a while.

I would be hyped for a Planet Aquarium, but I actually think the opposite. I say do what ZT2 did, give aquatic animals so that if people want the option they could just make an aquarium. But if they wanted to do a mixed zoo and aquarium they can do that as well!

My main hope, if we get aviaries, aquariums, nocturnal houses, etc. is that we can get a better building system for making indoor sections.

Yeah this is hands down the best zoo game ever, I think it’s just because I know they can make it even better which makes me seem so critical of it.
  1. WTE means birds right? Nope.
  2. The birds in game often have some of the best models and age very well. Yet, for years we have only been slowly drip fed birds. We know Frontier can do it, it just becomes a frustrating why. As others have stated, the roster being so huge and varied actually makes me more critical of why we get so few birds. We can get every flavor of big cat, dog, bear, antelope, bovid, etc. but we are still waiting for our second crane species? Also other very important zoo birds like pelicans and ducks are missing.
  3. What’s with South America? We may be on our 3rd-4th revisit to Asia.
Like most zoo games are historically low on birds and monkeys, it’s just that I can see the amazing things frontier can do so it makes me want it more!

So if the next update was an Old World (Eastern hemisphere) pack, and you got to choose between two different animals for each slot, (minus the 3 we already know) which would you pick?
If you want to be specific, you can select the exact species if you want.

Yeah, I also hope the new pathing system allows us to build houses with better results; reptile houses as-is are hard to handle as exhibits are massive no matter the species, and making corridors gets troublesome.

Still crossing fingers for Sulcatas before PZ is over fwiw.

Hard question though is there any animal in each DLC that you would trade for an habitat birds?

There are some i would, but some packs i wouldn't know what to "get rid off" to add a bird. For Barnyard for instance is easy for me, i would happily tarde both the donkey and pig for a duck and a turkey. But for Arid is a bit harder for me since yeah is ungulates galore but i like all of the ungulates we got, even the dama gazelle. I've come to like the lechwe in Wetlands even if i never needed it, but i would love a pelican or a duck instead.

Mine would pretty much the same except i would rather have the blackbuck instead of the dik dik.

Oh yes. The saiga. Remove it and give the pheasant or the mandarín duck.

Same, I really just want to play the game without worry about a future update or dlc adding something that I would want for a specific build. And because I get burnout super easily, I always wait for updates to get back in, but without those, I can just hop in the game whenever I feel like it. Like right now I'm waiting until after the Dlc gets announced to even plan anything, and then waiting a day or so before the dlc drops to even play the game, as I don't want to burn out before we get anything new. Also very glad that these last few packs only had us wait a week, so I don't have to wait for very long.
