Of course. That is the bare minimum.
Meh. I'm curious about the trailer SEE what this DLC is about but at the same time i'm kind of tired of being dissapointed by the latests packs so i don't have much expectations, and therefor i'm not anxious about the trailer. If it is tomorrow great, if it is next week then fine as well.
Exactly. That's why I don't think a theme as broad as old/new, eastern/western, northern/southern, black/white, big/little etc is a good or likely option. Binary opposites that split the world in half leave little explained and too open for the few species that must be chosen.
Adaptations has a better ring to it though and is at least descriptive and intriguing. I don't know what animals you could say were not well adapted though, surely all living animals show special adaptations to their environment. Every type of antelope has some variation in their hoof size, horn shape, leg muscle, nostril blood vessels (to disperse heat) etc to make them better adapted to their particular circumstance.
The non-biome, non-regional pack names we have so far all give a clear indication of what kinds of animals will be in the pack:
Conservation: endangered species
Twilight: nocturnal species
Barnyard: farm animals
These were also mainly scenery packs except for Barnyard which was a hybrid.
I think animal packs will stick to the regional or biome specific themes. By this I mean the types of categories commonly used to describe an animal's region or biome. Old/New world doesn't fall into that category except for monkeys.

Highlands / Mountains / Rockies
Rainforest
Latin America
Central America
The Americas
Coastal / Islands
Any others?
