Now we know how Planet Coaster people felt when Frontier started to ghost them once PZ was out. Now it is just reversed lol.

One day they have to stop making content, I doubt this is some deep cabal plan to kneecap planet zoo or use it like some prize bull. JWE2 is also a money maker, but with a new movie coming out they have also decided to end support for that game too.
Yes, PZ has done very well for Frontier. Of course Frontier would try to use those profits to expand their horizons. Some of those failed. PC2 is a much hyped sequel, so it makes sense that the current long running Planet game would slowly be phased out. Likewise, it makes perfect sense they focus on the new game instead of the one that’s been going on for a half decade. As others have stated before, while it might make profit now they have to make an educated decision if they can make profit forever.
Now while it comes to the quality of the animals, I have always found that the non-ungulates usually have some questionable quality from time to time. Like the sand cat from last year, shoot even the donkey not having their stripes. What we are witnessing is just what happened to Planet Coaster 1 when Frontier was going to PZ. Also Frontier has just been historically not good at communicating. So there’s that.
