I really doubt anybody is going to stop playing Frontier's games because of poor social media communications. The games are good, the DLC is good... If people switch to a new game it will be because the game itself is better, not because Frontier doesn't communicate road maps or tweet in the proper tone or whatever.
What it might influence, at some point, is awareness of certain things. But that doesn't seem to be an issue for them at the moment.
Yup. Everything went from being hyper-busy the last few days to a single update today ~1 hour ago (dev_final_trunk) right around the same time as those tweets. Could be related, I guess...
Another thought to consider: Maybe they found some buggy things in that final quality-check and they're therefore delaying the announcement because they'll need another week or so. That could also explain the pause in SteamDB activity too. They could have intended to drop something this week but are holding until they know when they can release. (Pure armchair speculation, obviously.)
I mean, but also... They've apparently made updates to the keeper huts which is... Something you'd do when you're dropping a Zookeeper pack maybe?
To me, we're still exactly where we were yesterday as far as pack theme speculation TBH.
The souvenir shop map does seem to match quite well, with the logo being the main difference
I feel like the problem with this community is thinking frontiers is there friend.
They are not your friend, they may show gratitude occasionally but they will never talk with you or show bonds.
Most of the time, they do these community posts for the money and pure money.
Please do not think and say Frontier did ok with this or that. You have the right and have the responsibility to call them out on things.
We are the consumers and we are the ones who pay for their salarys. Not a pure friendship bound woohoo

Yes, but there's a big difference between criticism based off something that wasn't mentioned and then outright saying that the company "forgot about us" or "don't care about us" because they didn't match our expectations when we ourselves put these thoughts out there

It's like reminding your friend they forgot your birthday and they congratulate you belated wuthout apologising or assuring you matter to them. Too little too late.
No the Frontier's is your supplier and friend also goes towards the criticism. People believe that Frontier is their friend with a simple trade of cash and animals. Do not push expectations and results like me sometimes who believe we will get the Ultra Rare Sifaka. Also don't feel betrayed and theirs nothing for them to betray you with or forget about you guys.
They clearly favor over Elite Dangerous, who cares man. Let them do it.

It sounds like you're saying what I'm trying to say, which is don't push these expectations and then complain that they didn't happen. Frontier never said "Hey, Oct. 4 is gonna be the announcement"
They said to keep our eyes peeled for the next couple of weeks. So the fact that people are complaining about no news is partly soured because, yeah no news, but also this hyped up fan expectation (not official expectations) didn't work out, so now people are complaining about the lack of tweet for PlanZo.
And personally, I don't blame the CMs because they probably have a lot on their plate right now with PlanCo 2. Maybe something happened. But it's always better to give the benefit of the doubt than to let these frustrations build up and potentially make us explode, because then things can be said or done that won't make anybody feel better
I like all Ceratopsians. Triceratops and Styracosaurus were always among my faves.
But lately I think Parasaurolophus is my favourite dinosaur.
We’re in the part of the cycle were everyone is doom posting and losing hope for something that is clearly coming. Frontiers communication sucks and we always get into these doom posting cycles then boom they announce it on Tuesday and everyone forgets about it and it’s all rainbows and sunshine again
