So you would rather argue over the validity or merits of using historical precedence instead of the actual point I was making. I see. Just an FYI, change is just change, it can be good or bad, or even a little of both. Considering the current mess, which way do you think it went?
I wouldn't say it's gone one way or the other. For the offline players yes it's obviously negative - but if the change has been made to avoid compromising the final online product (by forcing a diversion of funding and development time into offline or by limiting the scope of what DB wanted by keeping both versions more tightly integrated) then it's almost certainly a positive change for the final intended product.
edit: The historical part was just a counterpoint to you saying 30 years of something makes it better than a change.
