Europe still needs missing species!!!

Honestly people should stop with arguments like "I can't build my local zoo, frontier hates North-Americans/Oceania/whatever place". It comes off as ridiculous and kinda selfish. I'm from Europe myself but I can see too that South-America, one of the most diverse places in the world when it comes to biodiversity, is underrepresented. It doesn't matter if there's more players in north-america, europe or china, all continents/places should get the attention they deserve.

It's fine if you want some more European animals, but we've had two Europe-centric DLC's as our last two (Barnyard & Eurasia), so it seems fair to let other places shine right now.
When you say that South America is the continent with the greatest biodiversity, I hope you mean insects, because they represent 99% of the biodiversity of the South American continent!

Needed? There are still species i think would be very beneficial or needed for european zoo and wildpark builds specificly, but none of them are needed for the games roster overall i think.
So id say europe is pretty well represented if you put it into scale with the other continents, minus SA

Personally i dont agree with the statement that barnyard did anything really for european rep tho, as those are all domestics. Same as getting the alpaca, guinea pig and that one argentinean donkey breed wouldnt really do anything for SA

This thread is giving me a headache. @stonegarden if you want specific species found in you're part of the world, just use/commission mods if your on PC. That's what almost everyone is about to do. It's unrealistic to think one is going to get every animal they want, especially if they are a niche species without global appeal. None of us are saying your wants are "wrong". It's just when someone declares an objectively niche want as wrongfully not added to the game like it's some crime, it comes of as a lack of awareness and selfish.

Maybe, in the country where you live! We feel, in Eastern Europe, the discrimination of Western countries very strongly! If only we could refer to the salary level!!! And it is not the problem of the economic impotence of Eastern European countries. The EU also affects the budget of zoos in this area of Europe. So we prefer the old fauna of Europe before the exotic animals of other continents!
I live right in the middle of Europe and we are not exactly swimming in cash either, so that “you are privileged to live there” attitude is not needed. After all, you said it youself, we do not pick where we are born.

You divided Europe, claiming the main issue is the missing animals from Eastern Europe, but when someone brings that for example Patagonia has no species, you keep saying that South America as a whole have enough. So which one is it then? If South America as a whole is well represented, then you surely agree Europe as a whole is represented eaqualy well, right?

I had always been very critic with the people who talked bad about Europe and its fauna just to ask for more animals from other continents instead. I never understood the attitude of looking down at something else just to defend what you like. Therefore, being coherent, I don't understand why some people need to talk bad about other continent's fauna to defend European animals.

Does Europe need missing species? Yes, of course.
Do each of the other continents need missing species too? Yes, of course.

For some people having a cold tolerant otter like the Eurasian otter is very important. For some people, having a small filler cold tolerant animal like the Alpine marmot is essential. For some people having the Eurasian Brown Bear is relevant since they have personal memories attached to this species which is very common in European zoos. But also, for some people having small South American monkeys is essential since they are very common in many zoos worldwide. Tree kangaroos? Of course there are people who think they are key species for their projects. The list can go on and on and on.

Regarding Europe, I am extremely happy for the incredible evolution that the European fauna has had in this game. Remember that we started with 0 exhibits, a flamingo and a confusing wolf. Never in my dreams could I imagine that we would get all the animals we've received. I still want more, especially for my Eurozoo project, but saying Europe is being discriminated is simply a lie.

After 5 years, I think it's time that we all start respecting other people's wishes. With 18 DLCs, we have a lot of variety to choose. Not all packs can please everybody.

Just gonna stick this here which highlights the biodiversity of mammals, reptiles, amphibians, birds, etc. Please note, no lists or rankings really include insects in them. Also, please note how many South American countries are in the top 10 in nearly every category.

It is fine to want European animals. To be deliberately obtuse and inherently wrong is another thing altogether.

European brown bear is not Grizzly and not even close to HBB. If the Americans desperately want the Black bear, why wouldn't the Europeans want the European brown bear?! It looks completely different from both species present in the game.
Which one is a Eurasian brown bear, and which one is a grizzly bear?

The worst thing is that it's not the first time he has this kind of debates and pulls out the racism or discrimination card after simply not minding about the points of other people. I even got burnt by the moderation team to stating he must be a troll. But he can keep doing his thing.

Anyway.
In an ideal world I agree with him. My local zoo in my italian family town has only iconic alpine animals and I can put 5 out of the 15 species we have. The representation of European animals in the game are mostly focused on the forests forgetting that Europe also has various biozones.
But requesting EU animals is in an ideal world in which we receive more animals.

Let's imagine we would receive another pack it should bring SA and maybe oceania or SEA (I see you Goodfellow friend) the animals that are missing for most of the worlds zoo.
In every zoo I've been (mostly France, Germany and China) except for my local zoo inn Italy, I think I've seen tamarins, tree roos, maras, SA small felines, muntjac or even rodents/mustelids from SA and Asia that are still completely absent (chinchilla, Luzon cloud rats, yellow throat marten, etc).

In any case, this kind of threads could be interesting but the way it turned because of the behavior of the author made it lose all it's interest and serious and it ended up just looking as a humor thread...

Theres no way this is a serious thread lol Between WTE Tortoises and people believing Europe needs more rep before SA dear god what has the forums come to 😭
I don't know, I want the Eurasian brown bear and wildcat before the coati and rhea, but I want SA monkeys more than anything else at all now (actually, the serval is super high on the list for me, too). Too bad it's all over anyway.
