Sell Cobra Mk IV?

The problem is that many of the ones wanting it to be released don’t care about it as a ship but because it is denied to them.
I can sort of understand the desire to own something that isn't available anymore, but at the end of the day, this ship just sucks. I imagine most people here being wholly disappointed. It doesn't even look cool, and is clinically dead in terms of further tuning and development - no new paintjobs or ship kits.

Maybe valid for some, but i always want it.

First as a new player that was ready to jump out of the sidewinder to the next ship - after careful consideration analyzing the old elitedangerous.com site, ships section, i decided that i should go for Cobra mk4.
As a new player i had no idea it was an "exclusive" and the ED official site made no mention about it either - it was presented like any other flyable ship in game
After spending some time looking for it in various systems listed by EDDB, google eventually led me to an article on the customer support site (yea, buried down there) that was mentioning it was a ship not available to new players.

And after Odyssey, i wanted it even more since it is the small pad python.

You are one of the reasons I made sure to say that I didn't think it was all of the people.

I am not bitter about it, but as someone that always likes to try all the ships, I would like one. I missed the offering by about a week, so that sucked.
Honestly, they should have some decal or skin that identifies those that originally were able to have it and make available similar to the other new ships without the special identifier. Those that keep declaring, NO ONE ELSE CAN EVER have one, seems childish. Frontier is missing a money grab by not selling them.

As an owner, I still believe it should be accessible to everyone. If they want to maintain some exclusivity, it could be added to the ARX store or subject to other limitations. To make this happen, we need more than just a few people discussing it on the Forum. A common argument is that those who paid for it might be upset. We should conduct a survey or something similar to gauge how many people feel strongly about it.

Its so obvious that they should sell the CM4, it was free to those who bought horizons, I did on Xbox, this was before I even had a pc, never interested me. As soon as I found out Elite was in VR I bought a pc, my first gaming that was'nt console but I was too late for the CM4. I did make the transfer from Xbox recently when it was, generously, offered, anyone objecting to the CM4 being for sale is surely being selfish? Anything that helps this wonderful game going helps, and its not as though its enforced. I cannot see why not.

I suppose I am being selfish, but as one of the majority of players who is not eligible for the Cobra Mk4 I still object to its being sold. A Cobra Mk5 with SCO compatibility built in seems a much better idea except that the diehards will still be upset about not being able to have everything.

I wouldn't mind a Type-5 - small hauler, with 10 internals, but i'd like a Cobra MkV too

Cobra 4 has the best cargo capacity for small pad trader at 92 tons max, if you find yourself selling cargo to Ody stations. That's the only reason I'd (maybe?) want one.

Dolphin comes pretty close at 88 tons anyway.
