I am also most excited about this MK5 Cobra from all the new ships... Cobra MK3 was my first real multipurpose ship I earned millions and gain some ranks. MK5 could be the best multipurpose ship in its class and with a new beautiful cockpit... finger crossed that we will get it till Christmas...

The Cobra Mk3 is my favourite ship, followed by the Python Mk1.
I don't like the design of the Mk5. The Mk3 has that 70/80s look of the Lamborghini Countach and that's just awesome. Both the Mk5 and the Python Mk2 look to modern for my taste. I get it, they are more modern, but modern doesn't always need to be streamlined.

I agree. A new Viper or indeed an Eagle with a functional distributor and less paper-bag-like would be exceptional additions.

Agreed! I'm most excited for this ship out of everything we've got so far. The Cobra Mk III has been my daily driver for a long time. An updated and improved medium version of that classic is fantastic! I'm liking the size too as I lean towards smaller ships. A small medium, like the Mandalay or Asp, is a great addition.So out of all the ships released this year, as the Cobra MK3 is still my all time favourite ship, i really cant wait for this

Hmmm, I was a bit disappointed that it is a small ship only. I do not fly them any more. The question is, when and why should we use multipurpose small ship instead of a Krait or Python for example...
I like using small ships when focusing on Odyssey content. Will definitely take a proper look how it compares to my DBX or Viper Mk IV.

This makes sence... As a VR player I do not play the on foot Odyssey content at all so I am basically focused on medium size ships... But maybe I will give a chance the new Cobra despite this, becasue, is others are saying, it is the iconic Cobra...
Yeah, especially with Engineering there aren't a lot of niches left for small ships over medium ones.
One more I could think of is Exobiology, because it's easier to find landing spots with smaller ships.
I keep an exowinder on my carrier for the really tight spots
Well, it's the small ship that will rule all the other small ships.
Altho i'm curious about shields, speed and jump range, but those internals will still make it an easy pick
