Where did all the Thargoids in Sol go?

I am just guessing here, but I suppose they want us to specially design an AX-combat-passenger hybrid that can take out the Thargoids when they abduct your passengers, then grab them with your cargo scoop or a collection drone (both of which implies a cargo rack).

What I did: Just use a big passenger ship and equip it with point defense, then jump out as soon as you can. You'll loose a dozen or so passengers, but at least the rest survives.
I am using this it only shifts 82 passengers at a time but it can be fairly cool and is reasonably quick.

Basically it is an old fashioned rum runner.

I'm using a Type 8 and running the blockade. I haven't lost a single passenger. It's just heat sink, boost ad nauseum, heat sink again, jump, and otherwise utterly ignore the interceptor(s). The first missile forces me to wait to jump until my FSD reboots. Other than that, the interceptors don't matter much.

I think they might want passenger transporters to team up with AX ships and for people to get social, but, then again, they didn't bother making it a community goal, so probably not.

More likely they didn't have a specific player behavior in mind as a goal, and they're just running the scripted timeline for the "war" while they work on cooking up what's next.

So when the Titan arrives in the system, all guardian module break - is that right?

Having fun with the passenger stuff in a fast orca. Weird variability on mission payouts though.

Hasn't been anything major. Just some scouts at the periphery. You could rescue some hummies and get hyperdicted by thargoid body snatchers every time you leave though.

Glaives no, particularly if there are 3, it's very hard to kill all three and have any Hull left let alone survive.

I was running my FAS last week and kept getting jumped by three Glaives, you are almost constantly being lighting attacked, if you can switch to one that isn't lightning attacking you, you can keep the damage going and defeat them. But sometimes it's too hard to tell which one is firing at you. And maneuvering is very slow the lighting hits you.

I was running the FAS with 4 ax enhanced multies and just didn't have enough DPS to finish them off. Which is a shame as the extra bit of speed the FAS has over the Krait MKII really helps, but against the 3 Glaives, the extra large hard point makes a big difference.
Where did you run into those Glaives? Because, to my knowledge, they do not appear in the alert state at all (unless this is a custom one), and I don't remember encountering any in anything other than AX conflict zones (where you always get a trio of the zippy little things) after they stopped them from interdicting and hyperdicting. But you probably also know more about signal source spawns as I haven't been messing around with them in some time.

My advice was directed at the Scythe evasion in a hyperdiction on exiting system anyway, since that is going to be the primary concern for those ships in Sol right now. When it gets invaded (and it's looking very much like a question of when now, with the system barely set to reach 25% in the next two hours), that does change slightly, but unless they turn the Glaive interdictions back on... there is only some risk of encountering them at a station if you're doing the evacs in Open or say, a private group where people are running AX conflict zones. In solo, you should always be gone before any Glaive spawn can/does occur, but probably not before the Interceptors.

Sorry, I was referring to Hunter interdictions in general, not an alert state. And while alert states generally have lower rates of interdictions, scouts and Scythes, this has been absolutely quite. I did figure out a good way to earn money and kill hunters. I hit a few Combat Aftermaths then head over to a covenant star port and load up on wounded evacuation missions, get hyperdicted on the way out, kill the Scythes and scouts, deliver the pods to the rescue ship... Vilola! A new game loop!

As far as the Glaives are concerned, I keep getting them in threes when rescuing pods in thargoid controlled systems. I've even had 3 of them hyperdict me on the way out of a thar controlled system. Very hard to defeat.

All those that aren't coated with Ram Tah's magic paint.
Hmm thats too much hard grind for me nowadays.
Guess I wont be coming back after all :(
Unless you mean at the TITAN you need the magic paint and not the whole system ?
If its the whole system yer im out.

If it helps, I believe that the requirement for Tactical Core Chips has been removed from the AGF protection recipe.

It sure helps, a lot. Unfortunately there is a need for Hardened Surface Fragments. I've spend hours in various Titans debris, flying slowly around every piece, in different game modes... lots of cysts, organics, bones spots, and none of Coarse Hull Surface/Fissure spots to get these fragments from. As it stands now - either a bug or one could get them only from a living Titan - not possible now anyway. Could be later when Cocijo lands somewhere, but now there is no way to prepare.

Yeah with no way to get "Hardened Surface Fragments" the removal of the "Tactical Core Chips" is pointless.
I've been searching debris fields too without any luck.

With the new and improved AX multi-cannons and missile-racks there are plenty of highly-practical builds that don't involve Guardian tech, so it'd be silly to miss out on this gameplay on that basis alone. Indeed, it's only recently that players in Titan space have started re-using Guardian tech at all. The first few Titans were taken down completely without it.

I'd like to say that it will only apply in Titan Space, not the whole system... however as this is a somewhat unusual event it's hard to predict what the exact rules will be if/when Cocijo arrives in Sol. Also the Glaive Hunters and Orthurus Interceptors can melt Guardian tech, and we can't say how prominent they might be in whatever is going to occur.
(I'm wondering if, without orbiting an Ammonia World, the Titan's corrosive effects might even be entirely absent.)

I would suggest starting with a build that uses Human tech only, but then swap in whatever Guardian tech you like after that, so it's only a quick pitstop to change back again if it turns out the anti-Guardian field is going to cause issues. My main AX Combat ship uses un-protected Guardian weapons, but I always carry AX Multi-Cannons too, so that I'm not defenceless if some Glaive Hunters show up and melt my primaries.

Yep, also using AX weapons, they are doing the job, but very slooooooowly. My builds with Guardian weapons do 1.5-2x damage, and I've re-learned how to fly good enough to be decent with Shard-type and Plasma weapons - they are really fun for me to use. A mix of Guardian/AX weapons is a compromise, but it is annoying to constantly need to repair melted stuff and to fly around with even less damage than full regular AX weapons.

Plus, right now it looks like the best time to prepare for what's to come, and be able to dish out the best damage ship can do, even the patch notes suggest that with the removal of Tactical Chips - but it's not possible.

Superpowers "we have a magical paint to help destroy the thargoids and save Sol"
Me "can I have it then please, so I can help fight for humanity"
Superpowers "not unless you pay us"
Me "well <CENSORED> YOU THEN"... moves to colonia.

It would be cool, I think, if hyperdiction didn't happen every evacuation run. A percentage game, would feel a little more varied--say 20% odds for hyperdiction. Less rinse, and repeat. That way, I reckon, complacency sets in, then bam. Anyway, the game is super as is, I have no complaints that change that. I fly a generic Type 7 on evacuation runs and do same as mtfatboy3006 mentions above. I tried a Type 9; too slow and lumbering. Peace.

How do I get this paint?? :D

I dont think we can, you need to get the mats from a titan.
BL1P is right, unless you can actually find some fragments on titan ruins, a thing I have not been able to see in my visits, you'll need the hardened fragments you usually mine from a live titan. The only known live titan is currently enroute to some place interesting.
That being said, the enhanced hummie ax weapons do fairly well.

I wish i had of seen this before. I spent several hours yesterday in a debris field, got 12 caustic crystals ok, but could not find any surface fragments. I gave up in the end.
