DLC 19 Speculation

Depends if those coaster fans actually moved on from RCT, my comment was more about the noted players from steamdb which planet zoo has consistently been higher than planet coaster (either 1 or 2). For example the release numbers: planet zoo release was met with 38,000 players, and planet coaster 1 - 22,000 and coaster 2 - 20,000.
Oh yes definitely, PZ is more popular than PC, that's clear. But im debating the reason for that. I don't think it's more niche, but maybe that there's just more competition or another reason.

Wait. They said there's no DLC for PlanCo2 coming until next year? Oooof. Didn't see that turn coming...
Wait planco2? I must of been tired lol

... I definitely didn't read that as planet zoo. I don't think they've commented on dlc for planco2 actually which probably doesn't make it any better, given we are in the second week of December and absolutely no sign of dlc well I don't think my misread comment is wrong.

LOL! That makes waaaay more sense. But yeah, it doesn't make it much better.

I guess they did release a DLC alongside the base game for PlanCo2 but still a little odd to not bother with anything for December (especially since they haven't really done the best job at hyping that DLC, hah). With the first major free update coming tomorrow I was anticipating some sort of trailer for the next DLC by this point.

I was already wondering, shouldnt there be dlc related news by now?
Especially for coaster a winter wonderland themed pack seemed like kind of a nobrainer
Maybe it will be like JWE2 where it is revealed 4-5 days before it's release, probably not but still a possibility

If planet zoo winter season was actually good

Considering its growing popularity on social networks I can't see the rock hyrax missing the next pack. I would prefer alpine marmots or chinchilla/visacha making it to the game with the spot of the small mountain rodent.

I see two possibilities:

Mountain pack:
Rock hyrax
Appennine chamois
Capercaillie
American black bear
Goodfellow tree kangaroo
Yellow-tailed woolly monkey
Andean flamingo

Biome pack suggested in this thread:
Mara (grassland)
Greater rhea (plains)
Howler monkey (forest)
Rock hyrax (mountains)
Sea otter (water)
Serval (savanna)
Goodfellow tree kangaroo (jungle)

Yeah so when making a realistic biomes pack I would use the ones that have been used:
Grasslands -
Tropical -
Wetlands -
Arid -
Arctic -
Aquatic -

And then probably add Highlands or Temperate as most likely.

Grasslands: greater rhea
Tropical: Black howler monkey
Wetlands: Mandarin duck
Arid: Patagonian mara
Arctic: Musk ox
Aquatic: Great White pelican
Taiga: American black bear / Roosevelt's elk

Isn't plains/grassland/savanna kind of the same biome?
@Topaz Star while @Captain Callum is correct that PZ doesn't make the distinction between plains/grassland/savanna, they're not the same environment. Maybe savanna is more like a grassland environment, but plains are quite distinct from the others.
I brought up the environments from a game that maybe some of you have heard, Zoo 2 Animal Park which is a zoo game that has those environment, but to be honest savanna just looks like an arid environment. I love the list of animals from the game and the game story as a hole. I just find funny that in both games (PZ and Zoo 2) you have an old man helping you to open a new zoo😂. Here's the lis of animals:https://zoo2animalpark.fandom.com/wiki/Animals

Also not to double spam you Callum, but here would be my 12 ducks of Quackmas:
  1. Mandarin duck
  2. Mallard duck
  3. Muscovy duck
  4. Pacific Black Duck
  5. Wood Duck
  6. Northern Shoveler
  7. White faced whistling duck
  8. Fulvous whistling duck
  9. Common Eider
  10. Harlequin Duck
  11. Hooded Merganser
  12. African Pygmy Goose
This would already be in Planet Zoo if Frontier was based and a real duck-pilled quackcel like me.

After Eurasia and Zookeepers I would be shocked if we got a mountains pack
