COMPLETED CG Battle for Sol: Destroy Titan Cocijo (AX Combat)

I keep seeing this everywhere and it's starting to worry me.

The CG showed up in my nav panel as soon as I did my first bombing. Every time I've docked at the Hutner the CG board says "Signed up" and it shows my contribution, and there's no option to manually sign up.
I figure it might auto pop up once you go there. I took my friend there first in my own ship and apparently in that case it does not auto pop up for that crew member, you have to either go to starbase and sign up manually or fly to the Titan in your own ship. I would recommend the latter anyway. Turned out any kind of multi crew will award bonds to the crew member but NOT count for the CG for that person.

I've never ever been in multicrew. Like I said: the CG showed in my panel the first time I bombed the Titan (alone, in Solo, in my ship), and I've been to the station several times and there is NO option to sign up, because I was automatically signed up when bombing the Titan. Then I see people saying you HAVE to sign up at the station for your contribution to count, and it's freaking me out.

The stats on Inara are impressive: 12,206 contributors and rising!

Must be some kind of record?
Yet the progress is curiously slower than it was on Thursday. Though it, probably, is just down to people getting a couple hits in for rewards and then buzzing out, it almost feels like the Titan was made both more resilient to damage as well as having its hitpoints buffed.

It's likely just my imagination going off, though.

My numbers have been consistent, so don't think there's been any change besides the obvious HP buff.

I think the HP change plus a drop off in players after just one successful visit to the Titan mean it's left a big mountain to climb for those that remain. Hard to predict how much progress will be made over the weekend with it being such unique circumstances, but will be interesting to see on Monday if FDev rebalance the scales again if it looks like we aren't going to make it.

My own prediction is that they would (or, if it turns out like Raijin, it becomes a mid-late [UK] Tuesday tweak after which progression rapidly picks up), because I suspect they are waiting for the destruction of the Titan to move the story along, but it's equally possible they'll leave us to our devices to see if we can do this within a week. It's very possible with a third of progress approaching and the weekend ahead, plus the recent tendency of the weekend swing not ending with the weekend and sometimes Tuesdays/Wednesdays late in the cycle to exceed those rates.

... but even if the Titan were to survive to Thursday, it wouldn't be holding on by much at that point. And also not really change the course because with it completely isolated and apparently not launching attacks - except keeping the assault on Mars High going for one reason or another - unless Frontier manually give it some attacks. Though I think at this point most of us are ready to move into the post-Titan era of whatever happens next in the Thargoid story.

Honestly, I think they will have to act if it's looking likely to fail - having initially chosen one level, then boosting it by a factor of 2.5 to avoid what looked like a stupidly quick finish, they may conclude that they overdid it. They really can't want it to fail, especially after their difficulty hike... The players would be so massively annoyed to lose out on the new drives.

If that happens, most of those players won't come back for similar events unfortunately. Let's see how many hearts fall at the end of this weekend. If we get four with the fifth partially done then we'll be in a good place to end it by Thursday.

It's always possible they will become available via tech broker in the future. I'd hope so for these, anyway, as Titan shooting technically already comes with its own, albeit cosmetic, rewards. And this could just be the (right now, only) way of getting them early.

Probably hopeful considering other modules which never appeared as tech broker rewards but even if this is the last Titan of these first notable 8... I don't believe it would justify permanently locking them behind taking part in blowing up Cocijo.

Do you have CG credit currently? Yes? Then don't worry

We are not leaving, but returning to our PP from which we were ripped away.
Am I understanding this correctly? On Thursday, we will be shown a video clip of the end of the war and the dawn of a new era - Colonization.

2) multi crew grants bonds but it does NOT count for the CG for that crew member, neither as telepresence nor if you board someone else's ship physically. I tried both and my friend still got 0 credits participation despite having received combat bond messages of damaging the core.
AFAIK the crew member has to shoot the weapon that damages the core.

The current 13887 contributors is the fourth highest on record for any CG in the "modern" era.

Next ones to beat:
15352 participants: Colonia Bridge Phase 3, bubble section (trade)
16160 participants: Peace Conference Imperial Defence (bounty hunting)
17547 participants: Peace Conference Federal Defence (bounty hunting)

From memory I think there were a couple of pre-2019 CGs which also got around 15000 participants

I'm impressed with the amount of CMDR's who have contributed to the CG. However, what is concerning is that the majority of them have most likely done one run in the hopes of receiving the free FSD's. Last nights contributions were far lower than Thursday night. I really hope this pick up dramatically over the weekend.
Anyway, back to it.

No, I don't think you have to cash them in, as I didn't and my contribution still did register. But it's odd anyway. What's the truth here, 2556 or 3418? I had cashed in all bonds before going out, so this is exactly what I got from the Pineapple:

Still my single sortie from yesterday evening, nothing changed. I think it's the ingame numbers, but then, I'm confident INARA just displays what the API delivers 🤔

EDIT: Out of curiosity, I cashed in the bonds now, at Hutner to make sure, and my contribution didn't change. So I guess cashing them in is optional indeed.

O7,

Hopefully the contributions don't drop off. Inara's dynamic estimates are varied (as you would expect), but also a bit concerning. Last evening before I headed off, completion was 100% in 3d 6h roughly. This morning it's 82% in the total time left...

I'll be back on later to do some more runs. Fingers crossed interest doesn't die off after people get their 1 contribution.

The DCOH Watch projections seem to confirm what Inara is reporting. Let's hope the pace really picks up by Sunday or it's going to be tight.

I remeber when the system with the tripple LTD hotspots had numbers like that on the system page on inara.
Cant remeber the systems name now :)

I hope some groups are holding back intentionally to give everyone a chance to get their contributions in. If not, then it's not looking good.
