I just noticed the top 25% on inara ranges from 22000 to 2250,000!!!

how on earth has someone got over 2 million? surely that much be using an exploit somehow?

Possibly team effort and they have one guy doing the vents and the rest just wait for the core to show up. Also, it seems that ax-frags do a lot of damage.

Edit: It is also possible that they have been bombing the thing for a while longer that just since thursday.

I'm hoping the thing gets weaker with every heart gone and they can tweak it there somehow, by increasing damage or what. 2bn is too much.

That might be but at the moment inara says that it can be over in just under 3 days. Not going to happen that fast but i wouldn't start worrying untill monday.

Just to check, and maybe a CM can answer this: by "destroyed" does this mean the Titan actually blows up before Thursday 0700 IGT, or achieves meltdown status (i.e. the last Heart is destroyed) by that time - seeing as actually being "destroyed" happens 24h after meltdown based on the behaviour of the last 7 Titans?

If it requires complete destruction before the weekly rollover, the implication is of course that we will need to destroy the last heart by 0700 on Wednesday.

That would work. They could also change it to (say) 6 hearts (or 75%) damage caused within the week. They could even find a way to mess with the damage rate (in a hidden way) that recovers enough progress...

Mmm, I think that's a stretch. FD could trivially have removed that "feature" (bug?) if they wanted to. I'm actually annoyed that when you restock at a station, you lose any remaining premium ammo that hadn't been fired. (Not sure if it also wipes out premium ammo for guns that were 100% full.)

With the CG progress pinned to the heart completion, it'll be reduction to zero hearts which matters.

I keep hitting the "pineapple" just because i can't slow down any faster. Unless ofcource i lower the landing gear and then get blown up wondering what the thargoids did to my thrusters as i can't boost away...

I always deploy landing gear and cargo hatch to slow down, and even so I too slam into the core sometimes. Too bad it doesn't take damage form that. 😅

I think I've only done about 5 hours of Titan bombing gameplay this week and got over 400,000. But that's without using Premium Ammo, or any number of other Min-Max strategies, to pump my score per hour.

Two million is a very long way from the highest score achievable in the time we've had so far. Could be somebody scoring slower than me that's just putting in every hour they can, but more likely it's someone that is employing all the right techniques and has played a lot, but not a ridiculous amount.

Finished for today, and now firmly in the top 75% which I'm pretty happy with. Even managed a couple of runs hitting five thermal vents, although one could have been six if I hadn't faffed up my position on one and had to overshoot for the next vent. Doh!

Anyways, the Mandy is leaving for some well earned R&R for the night....

I was destroyed in front of the titan core (in open) just in the moment the magnetic field startet. I get the ‚ship destroyed‘ screen, but when I hit the proceed button nothing happens (over and over again).

Watching now for 45 minutes the core rises up and down and I see other commanders firing.

What can I do? I can’t exit to menu. Do I lose my ship when I exit the game via windows task manager?

according to Inara: Ship is listed as ‚current ship‘.

No, I am stuck in that screen, but I can see whats going on and I hear the Titans sound:

Are you clicking the button or hitting Return/Enter? I guess you've tried both by now...

Maybe hit Tab a few times and then Return/Enter...? :unsure:

If not, it sounds like the game's thrown a fit and you will need to kill it...

I hit every button and when I click the ‚Fortsetzen‘ (proceed) the button lightens as ‚clicked‘. Game does not freeze, just nothing happens when I click the button.
