Game Discussions Star Citizen Discussion Thread v12

If you were the optimistic sort, you could always read the little black circles with the high numbers at the bottom of that chart as °F instead of MPH :D

Temps are still mild for this time of year up here (not counting wind chill)...averaging out at around mid 40's farenheit...I grew up long before we went all European and Metric over here so I can still do the conversion to Imperial freedom units for most things (Gallons/pints, lbs/ounces, feet/inches and spanner sizes etc) in my head :)
It's 40° here atm. Fortunately only for 2 days.

Stashed the gear and grab something to eat. Looking for the clinic to make the station my home ate a slug while at it.
vsF0Fe8.jpeg

Spawn set, slug eaten, drink needed. Finding the bar became a priority.
dKYicbT.jpeg

Maybe we could find some action along the way. No sight of the bar, just shady weapon dealers
CDqHBzr.jpeg

Probably deeper into the station.

And it's a Bingo.

Drank my invisible beer
zxZSiny.jpeg

Tried to make some friends along the way,

With no avail.

No refriendships either. Uncle Chris remains unapologetic or maybe it's the undersuit. I'm the only one in a undersuit.
2OsyLI6.jpeg

I got to fix this. And so I did.

Now we're talking. A couple more drinks and it's time to hit the verse. After all, we haven't even seen a planet yet, much less landed on it.

Call me sentimental (half sent and half mental) but in amongst all the negativity, I still love to see someone enjoying the game as it is :)

Gaming gods seemed to be on by my side this session and I drank a bit too much coffe. I'm sorry, please cro.bear with me.

Doing my best Johnny Silverhand roleplay I went back to find my ship. Old Betsy doesn't like being stored for long.
osmj60C.jpeg

Retrieved. And there she was, as I left her. Unassumingly reliable. Old Betsy.
La5oRla.jpeg

All geared up, some hydration to help with the hangover and Off we went.

Next Stop. Terminus aka Pyro VI. The furthest of them all. Easing our chances against running into pirates while getting to see a king of rings with our own eyes.
VzQ0InS.jpeg

A brownish mush, not much of a looker tbh. Despite the rings.

With an outpost nearby, Might as well go for a hauling mission while I'm here, will help with the gas costs. "Make the most of every journey" I could hear my Dad.
bpOiACJ.jpeg

But it wasn't to be. I'm my drunkness for a quick buck I had failed to check the size of the containers I was supposed to carry.
Old Betsy, like all ships, has it's limitations and I was reminded again, that no ship will ever be suitable for every task. Live and learn.

Licking my wounds I head out of the brown mush, setting my teary eyes into something brighter.

We're heading to Bloom!
Xxr63Xd.jpeg

Arriving with the sun behind. Not great of an entrance but the horizon shows promise. Cotton cloudy bliss a jump away I thought.

what is this s*. This GRAIN! Ah the settings, MEDIUM settings that look more like LOW. Well let's see how this old beast can handle High, better yet, F the Frames, let's go Very High.

And, somehow miraculously does hold, not only holds but it's playable on a decade old PC. Impressive. Now let's find us as place to land.

mlZ3yh2.jpeg

Seems like a perfect spot right over there.

LhaaZV9.jpeg

Touch down. We've been waiting for this moment for so many years that it feels somewhat surreal.

And there it is.
6Qt3UHQ.jpeg

The "Chewie, we're home" feeling inside. Like a little kid.

UJR7g12.jpeg

Climbing every rock trying to find the most perfect angle.

Resistance is absent. Redundancy fully embraced that Time flew. I should be sleeping long ago. And so must my space cowboy if I want to retain my gear.

Time to leave and find the nearest spot to crash. (knock on wood). A quick Map check and we're set. Not very far. Punch it Chewie!

And there it is. Our new home far from home.

Orbituary Station.

To be continued...

Did you actually do any... you know... actual functional gameplay?

But it wasn't to be. I'm my drunkness for a quick buck I had failed to check the size of the containers I was supposed to carry.
I guess that's a no?

I think nobody can deny that if it works, it makes for beautiful screenshots and goofing off in a group is always fun, no matter the bugs. Often enough, the bugs are the source of entertainment.

It sounds like the quantum drive instabilities were all fixed then and navigating to stations and outpost didn't take long workarounds. I might give it another go.

Word is that it varied by server as the hotfix rolled out.

Although there may be some further variance in there too ;)

It’s the servers half of them qt doesn’t work the other half mission markers don’t work

On landing in a hangar, I got out of the ship, the ship sank through the floor and I was floating in the hangar which promptly despawned on me
First landing in another test, I set down on the hangar floor, exited the ship and started suffocating and floating. Got the helmet on in time, the hangar despawned. And then another hangar spawned in with someone trying to leave in their Type-8. I got glitched into the ship and was in normal atmosphere and gravity again.

I guess they were surprised to find a Cutter pop into existence between the salvage arms, too.

Come to think of it, this particular hangar probably now has a yellow Cutter stuck in it until the server crashes or someone pushes it out.

Not gonna lie, this does sound like a pretty exciting and thrilling experience! Not necessarily like a good (or even a working) game, but we‘ll take what we can get.

There is so much to see that defies explanations. I saw collision spark effects on the door of my instanced hangar. When I requested to leave, a ship appeared, stuck in the hangar door. I must have touched it while leaving and got a fine for an armistice violation.

A 20k aUEC fine. I have 27k. And no trade. I guess I have to open lootboxes and sell off whatever I can find
