One of those species of bacterium has a good payout associated with it, especially with a first footfall. Finally equipped a Mandalay and set off for an indefinite exploration trip on my alt account.
Currently fascinated with the patterns that bacteria form on the planetary surfaces. Never investigated them closely, but they are amazing!
Nice! I'm not too bothered about money though, this is my perma-exploration account, in theoryOne of those species of bacterium has a good payout associated with it, especially with a first footfall.
Just can remember the name...
I'm doing much the same (although not indefinite, just an exobiology money making trip). Finally equipped a Mandalay and set off for an indefinite exploration trip on my alt account.

Always turn the same way at any junction.I'm doing much the same (although not indefinite, just an exobiology money making trip).
They are indeed.

I find myself wanting to enlarge and solve the "maze" but I fear that way lies space madness!![]()
That only works up until first roundabout.Always turn the same way at any junction.

You might create a roundabout of sorts with this appoach...That only works up until first roundabout.
Always turn the same way at any junction.
YOU ARE IN A MAZE OF TWISTY LITTLE PASSAGES, ALL ALIKE.

It's having to work out the EBCDIC for "WALK NORTH" and then punch all those little holes that really gets ya...Ah! So much fanfold paper wasted printing out that. If only that computer had a CRT terminal rather than a Teletype one.
Hot dog! I'm just on my way back to Ito Station in Rhea from PLEIA EUN XO-Z CO - and the biggest system I saw was 32 bodies. That's insane! I did have the pleasure of discovering over 300 systems, mapping God knows how many planets, and a handful of planets I walked on.This system is my record - or maybe close to it - for the number of bodies I've got first disco for. 72. I know the all-time record is way above this but I was quite chuffed anyway.

EDEB took its time to talk through that lot!
There's even rings with plat and tritium hot spots I may... may mine in.
Thanks for the tip! It didn't even cross my mind. Mmmm... merits...Colleagues might prefer it if you unloaded all that juicy data at a Winters system that actually needs Reinforcing ... and the more in need it is, the more Merits you will see. (See first post in thread I've linked to below)
(And contribute to the thread where we are all trying to work out what the hell is going on with merits for explo)
Powerplay merits - help record complete data!
How the developers have (currently) set personal Powerplay merits gains from selling exploration or exobiology data remains to be seen. Unfortunately, mentions I've seen so far for UC data or VG samples sold and merits gotten all have missed something crucial: the system they were sold in, and...forums.frontier.co.uk
You can dial that back in controller settings.Im on my first day and trying to not go insane with the crazy mouse sensitivity.
That's what I am doing †
Yep! I found a commanders video that showed me how to change the mouse settings effectively and now i suddenly finished those tutorials! You can dial that back in controller settings.
That's a beauty, I think I found one in 200+ range, it took forever to map that system. This system is my record - or maybe close to it - for the number of bodies I've got first disco for. 72. I know the all-time record is way above this but I was quite chuffed anyway.

Fortunately Dungeo* wasn’t on the PDP5 that had the punched tape reader, just as well as that machine was in the middle of the lab, it was on a PDP8 in a partitioned corner so some privacy it also had another waste of paper on it a Star Trek game. It's having to work out the EBCDIC for "WALK NORTH" and then punch all those little holes that really gets ya...
