There is the separate-servers Legacy version but I'm not in that.IIRC Elite: Dangerous does not have an offline mode. It does have a Solo mode but that still requires you to be connected to the servers.

Yes they really should sort that out, so many different colours make it look a mess, it would be much better with all the cables the same colour.Hopefully they have the servers in proper order, unlike the picture below.
