to be fair thanks to elite marketing team i finally got to buy chaosgate demonhunters...
i just wish there was a way how to buy arx, but like for the dev team, not the marketing team. you know what i mean? i want to buy arx as a kudos to devs and to support more development of the game, not pat the marketing team on their back for what they are doing to the arx store.

No, people are annoyed that FD are saying "they've heard us" and will now be keeping Chromed in the store "until May" when what the community is complaining about is that they explicitly stated that Chromed would be available "all year round".

It's an interpretation of "year round" to mean "a year", to be sure, but it's definitely not the one that was taken by most. I really do implore Frontier to seriously consider just leaving content available without the rotation "will it be available, won't it be available" dance.

if they opt for this interpretation, it would be only as a damage control attempt. going through with the pull yet trying to look like they stand by their words. and i dont think that would work on me either.

- Frontier used the words "all year round"
- Players took that to mean "forever"
- Frontier took that to mean "for a limited time"
- Players then referenced what Frontier had said, using Frontier's exact wording
- Frontier then said "We've heard your feedback" which implies an admission of error, but then extend the limited time on sale when the expected outcome from the players is for Frontier to honour the meaning of the wording they used.
Does that help you understand why players are upset?
Imo ppl are making a mountain out of a mole hill. Buy them, don't buy them, simple as that. They're only cosmetics, "go faster stripes" paint jobs are not going to make you a better pilot or help you find Raxxla.

They didn't say "the whole year". They said "all year round". These would no longer be seasonal. Also, they said this in context of creating a new area in the store for such items. This also has not be done.
Bit ott imo...they were available all year round, 2024 has now ended.

I do think that for a British company they understanding of the British language is questionable sometimes . They do communicate very badly in certain posts ? If I was a teacher I would mark them as if fdev would stop looking out of the window they could do better .

For me this sorta underscores the bizzareness of such news being released at all on anything other than the official forum, never mind the interaction and "we heard you" also happening there. Though, to be fair, they may also have read some of the unhappiness here despite not responding to it here.
(I'm not much into skins, or ship kits for that matter, so I'm not actually concerned about the skins being unavailable or not, but blithely trashing a previously-given assurance is not a good look, and it's also rather a shame that this aspect wasn't acknowledged, nor was the remedy to simply revert to that assurance.)
Me too. But that's a question for a marketing expert. Personally, I've never met one that played computer games... (By which I mean: good luck with getting an answer here
I've worked on big game productions and have met marketing experts whose whole careers are focused on computer games. I suspect the real reason you won't get an answer here is that players won't like it, don't actually want to hear it, and will argue until blue in the face that the expert is wrong
