Brown Dwarf Tour & Fact Finding Mission

So the monthly report has now become a two monthly report as time has been limited and only had 192 jumps and only addition to list is a class II GG

But have finally left the Galactic Core Region and into Ryker's Hope. At this point was wondering to turn left and head to Colonia or right and head to the bubble. Have decided to go for the latter, hit a galactic branch and head to the bubble.

I felt like surveying brown dwarf systems, and thought I'd share my current status doing so.

I'm only surveying systems with an L-class primary star (Higher luminosity if possible).

Systems Surveyed So Far - 36
Earth-like Worlds - 0
Ammonia Worlds - 0
Water Worlds - 0
Terraformable Water Worlds - 0
Terraformable High Metal Content World - 1
Metal Rich worlds - 0
Water Giants - 0
Gas Giants with Ammonia Based Life - 0
Gas Giants with Water Based Life - 0
Class II Gas Giants - 0
Class III Gas Giants - 0
Class IV Gas Giants - 0
Class V Gas Giants - 0

I'm surprised i found the aforementioned Terraformable High Metal Content World so quickly. If i had to guess, This won't be a regular occurrence.

Assuming I continue this search, I'll post another statistics update in a week (At Most).

Also has anyone found Water Giants/Metal Rich Bodies in a brown dwarf system.

It's been a week since my last post, and I've gone back to the bubble to partake in other activities then exploration.
However a lot of brown dwarf surveying was doing before doing so.

This, along with some previous poking around on another account has contributed to the following statistics:

Systems Surveyed: 371
Earth-like Worlds - 0
Ammonia Worlds - 0
Water Worlds - 0
Terraformable Water Worlds - 0
Terraformable High Metal Content World - 2
Metal Rich worlds - 0
Water Giants - 0
Gas Giants with Ammonia Based Life - 0
Gas Giants with Water Based Life - 1
Class II Gas Giants - 2
Class III Gas Giants - 0
Class IV Gas Giants - 0
Class V Gas Giants - 0

At some point in the future, I'll head out into the black again to resume surveying; I'm eyeing the area around the skull and crossbones nebula for that.

Hello and happy new year to everyone! It's been around 3 months since I last mentioned my plans, and I've made some changes since then.

Instead of heading to the skull and crossbones nebula as I had intended, I decided to fly towards the galactic core. The dense star clusters there are my favorite places to be in general, and it will also make navigating between brown dwarf stars easier.

Currently, I'm out near the border of the Norma Expanse & Norma Arm; my statistics are as follows.

Systems Surveyed: 402
Earth-like Worlds - 0
Ammonia Worlds - 0
Water Worlds - 0
Terraformable Water Worlds - 0
Terraformable High Metal Content World - 2
Metal Rich worlds - 0
Water Giants - 0
Gas Giants with Ammonia-Based Life - 0
Gas Giants with Water-Based Life - 1
Class II Gas Giants - 2
Class III Gas Giants - 0
Class IV Gas Giants - 0
Class V Gas Giants - 0

As is shown above, I've not found much since I resumed my survey a few days ago.

As a last thought, would anyone be interested in looking through some of this offsite (Google Sheets, Dedicated Web Page, etc), Let me know.

Until next time!

Hello, I was asked to report this find in this thread as well.

While searching a helium rich boxel this system was also there, a L-type star system and then I was extremely surprised about this message from one of my tools:
New personal record: Smallest distance from the entry point of an Earth-like planet: 11.2830 LS

And then it wasn't just one! 🎉

A bit later i just noted on EDAstro, this was the very first finding of more than one Earth-like around an L-type star 🥳

Active search or just complete luck of the draw?

If it was the latter, that is some chance. The best I’ve yet found was a system with a water world of 3.6k atmospheres orbiting a secondary T class dwarf (with an L class as primary) and NSPs around that same dwarf.

Active search of a helium-rich boxel, but not specifically of brown dwarf systems, as pure accident in that respect

It's been quite a while since I last updated my Brown Dwarf ELW Tour (which you can find here ;)), but in going through the latest finds I noticed a brand new ELW orbiting a primary T-class star! Quite impressively it's on the far side of the galaxy too, so I'm not really able to grab pictures of it, but here is the system on EDSM: https://www.edsm.net/en/system/id/90429609/name/Drootie+UW-H+a23-5
