Elite Dangerous | System Colonisation Beta Details & Feedback

@Paul_Crowther

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this.
They have.
But it would be nice
Yes, probably.
-- and makes sense
Well it does while things are being built, not so much after you have handed it over to the people running/using it.
-- that architects would have level three security access at installations which they built.
What is an architect going to do in a completed structure seeing as we can't change anything once complete?
Other than carry out a mission of course.
It would also be nice if facilities acknowledged the architect in their radio communications. Thanks!

Can't. It would be a cheat code to missions in that system and data collection.

People take time to produce on site, have you been shipping any in?
How do you mean?
Anytime I complete a site, I like to go back and visit it. Two times now, I have either been fined, or shot at. I guess what doesn't help was I didn't have the audio turned on when I logged in to look at the site this last time, so I guess I must have missed the "Off limits" notice.

During the construction process. As I haven't started a colony yet I haven't checked all the requirements.

Yes once it is up and running a structure is no longer yours and the usual rules for uninvited visitors apply it seems.

Also, I have noticed that:
A. We need a cancel/ abort button, especially if things are going to be placed where we didn't want them to be
B. The orbital construction sites seem to be stuck next to the things they built and wont despawn.

As a follow-up question on the topic of "A," if we open a ticket, will FDev move the station to the body we want it to ultimately be? I didn't want my star port on the last body, for example. Nor did I want it to be on the first body, but rather off the ringed ice body in the middle of my system but it got randomly placed on the last one.

A. You can see where a starter build is being placed before you claim the system. So not sure why they should allow it to be moved if you picked it knowing where it would be placed. I did not claim a system for this reason when the starter spot was going to be 33k LS from the sun.
B. They likely will remain until the weekly server tick, remember those builds do not begin to rotate until they are fully online either.

It's not about having Fdev move the primary port, it's the fact that the game does not always respect where you choose to build, you click on a location and the game places it somewhere else.
With no undo button you end up with Orbital stations not where you wanted them, this has happened to me which is why any further building is on hold in my system now.

I would like to see some kind of progress on contruction. Like a change at 25%, 50%, 75% say. It kinda sucks haulling all that stuff and not see any progress other than the bar going right.

On a different note, the construction orbital sites finallly disappeard leaving only the installations. they are in the wrong spot though. Happened twice now.

Same here, wanted a coriolis between the star and asteroid belt but it ended up just below where yours did, it's most def a bug, a pretty nasty one at that.

...no one specially acknowledges the architect of other buildings humanity makes. Why would it be different now? We're contractors, not the system owners.

Good day to all.
It's time for me to write feedback. I only play the English version of the client.
I started colonization from the moment of release (February 26, 2025) 1 hour after this add-on came out. After the first unsuccessful attempt to colonize the system, I had to cancel the colonization and request a new permission to colonize - everything went well, except for the lack of a "View system" button and therefore my first outpost ended up on the last planet.
From the very beginning, there was only one faction in the system that gave me permission and a ship for colonization. Although there were other factions in the surrounding systems. I waited 2 weeks, expecting this to be resolved somehow. I reread the entire forum but did not find why other factions were not generated. Also, the squadron is assigned to the faction of players, but this faction did not appear. Evidence is provided in the screenshots.I am also wondering why Inara shows all installed settings as an "independent" faction. In the game they are signed as assigned to the faction by the control system.

After today's server maintenance, it stopped showing that something is being built in the system. I'm afraid that when I finish building, I won't get points to build a T2 station or settlement.

So. If this is interesting to other Сmdr's (google translator used)
1 screen - what is built, with numbers from the DaftMav table
2 screen - the system has changed from Industrial/colony to industry/processing, the population has increased from 4500 to 7900
3 screen - actually, what I got (tears :)). What is the system score? And why is satisfaction 0, if according to the DaftMav table the standard of living (SoL) is still one

Question. And what to do with all this? In which direction to move? And do we need to move at all? After a week of active transportation at night (there is a job, there are children, there are relationships and obligations) - I wonder, did I waste these days of my life? I feel cheated. Sorry for such an emotional description.

Current theory is that Happiness is based on the controlling faction's happiness level in the right panel stats.

The controlling faction in my system is at "happy" but the system's happiness is still 0%

I've got a civilian outpost, a large high tech settlement, a relay, a satellite, and a security station built. The outpost finally opened up after going through two weekly ticks but is still only selling fuel and biowaste. The system is Colony/High Tech but isn't importing or exporting anything at all according to the galaxy map trade data.

Edit: I'm kind of wondering if we have to run missions to increase the happiness.
