A couple of thoughts when it comes to managing colonies.

As I understand it, there is no journal ledger for colony materials, therefore we cannot create third party tools to help with tracking what is needed for instillation completion.
(Like we have with the ED Odyssey Material Helper Tool for engineering)

Since we cannot use a third party tool, a helpful fix would be to allow up to copy and paste the material list and required material amount since we have to use Excel or Sheets to manage materials.
Small QOL improvements could really help, especially if more than one person (squadron) are working simultaneously on a system yet no one knows how much to bring or what is left for the build until they get there.

I work around by simply taking screenshots of the remaining material list. Of course, old ones need to be deleted to prevent accumulation of digital clutter, but it works fairly well.

Yes, unless you didn't take the screen shots... I 8 facilities built in my original system, I have no idea what a couple are.

You can see the material list remotely, though, by selecting the facility under construction in System Map view. Construction sites show up in System POI menu, too:

It's a bit clunky but I've never had problems seeing what and how much I need for a construction project. I also like to start with the small amounts of Power Generators and such from a Trailblazer megaship to declutter the BoM as fast as possible.

But putting the material requirements to journal files or implementing an API like with fleet carriers for ease of access with 3rd party tools would be splendid!
