DLC 19 Speculation

They let PlanCo alone for a while, though. I doubt they'd be too worried to leave PlanZo alone for a few years, when that time comes

Honestly, ocelot would probably be similar to coyote: why another cat, we just got 1? Why a mini jaguar? Cats are biased!
That kinda stuff
The thing is, Planet Zoo won't stop the production of DLCs till they see it unethical to continue funding

I feel like a lot of people just see that an animal looks like another one we already have and just dismiss it quickly, which makes sense seeing as the visual aspect is the first thing people think of, but a clone can still have importance.

For example like @DarthQuell brought up, the Bighorn Sheep is our FIRST hot climate sheep. That alone lets us build a new kind of enclosure which people complain about often about how the animals added don't introduce new ways to build - well this one does, plus this one will look a lot better than the current Dall Sheep, another pro for it.

The new flamingo will no doubt look better than the current flamingo and will give us a new bird to use for South America sections.

No, aviaries or aquariums will be added as there won't be a reason to buy that sequel. They also know the value of Planet Zoo and will probably be able to make a banger sequel.

Yeah... same for PC2 water parks were added and able to make a bamger sequel...

Spoiler alert no and it was made at the cost of most themes and DLC contents.

If a banger sequel is a empty zoo game with aquarium and aviaries not even working properly. Indeed you are right to push for that.

Frontier is struggling and with PC2 bombing and needing to be saved, I don't see anything different than more "cheap" content for PZ franchise while they save their coaster franchise.
Trust with players needs to be rebuilt before a sequel of PZ is released.
Cause if it fails it's probably the end of Frontier.

Perhaps, but even with "clones" the choices where still garbage

If we need to clone a carnivoran, why the coyote and not the ocelot?
If we need to clone an ungulate, why is it the big horn sheep of all things? Like literally its a brown dall sheep, which is something that allready exists
And if we cant all agree that the american flamingo is an disppoitinting choice between other waders like roseate spoonbill and scarlet ibis then i guess we cant agree

And the biggest question of all:
Why didnt they pad the pack by cloning the capuchin?
Even a tufted capuchin would be better then a coyote or bighorn sheep at any day
Thing is we are still missing 2 animals which could literally be anything we could end up with a climbing porcupine or a ground iguana or something else very different to what we have.
coyote and ocelot would be bashed almost as equally but both are ok additions simply because of the public perception of those 2 animals is alot higher than anything else and unfortunately cats and dogs sell well to a general audience.
The sheep and flamingo truly are just clones from different regions which in of itself isnt a bad thing especially keeping in mind that we had prior to this 12 birds so any bird even if a clone is still valuable. Sheep is meh but it fits the theming and is the only desert caprine.

Honestly, the only 1 confirmed animal is the coyote. But the other speculated animals are the rhea, saki monkey, and a flamingo
And a bighorn sheep, it seems?

I'm down with the American flamingo. White-faced saki seems an out-the-gate choice of NWM considering how may are, you know, more common worldwide (cough-squirrel monkey-cough) but heck I'll take it. And I'll freely admit that the rhea was, you know, inevitable.

That said I'm a little salty that we're being made to buy a second flamingo, though not really surprised.

Anyway, this isn't the pack I wanted by any measure but it is what it is. My expectations weren't really high anyway to be honest.

Oh, and Mexican scenery, judging by the Sombrero and papel picado in the keyart.
It's not the worst pack, but it's not the best for me either. I'd give it a good 7/10, from what I've seen so far. I'm still waiting for the full reveal...

And here's hoping for more splash screens, updated enrichment objects, and new in-game music

Hear me out, the keyart shows 5 animals out of 7 animals in the pack. This is insanely weird and normally it doesn't look like a normal fullart. Could it be possible this is a bigger pack then usual?
The only time we've gotten more than 7 (8) animals was the Grasslands pack, which had a total of 12. However, 5.of them were just the butterflies

Thank god my expectations were so low because I'd be really disappointed otherwise lol. It's super cool we're finally getting an Americas/New World pack, to call it overdue is an understatement, but man what a roster.

At least there's one animal I'm happy to see added:

all%20the%20ratites.png

I've wanted Planet Zoo to have one of each of the 5 groups of ratites* since it was released - each is essential for representing their respective region (can't have Africa without ostriches, Australia without emus, New Guinea without cassowaries, New Zealand without kiwis or South America without rheas) - so to see that finally happen is really cool!
*Under the traditional definition of ratites - sorry tinamous, you're cool too!

I really hope those two remaining slots are the coati and mara, because anything less and this is very much a bottom tier pack for me.

While i think the next pack sounds fun, i would also say that excitment is a strong word.

I'm happy for the rhea and saki? Hell yeah.
Do the bighorn or coyote animals make me minimally happy? Hell no.
can the other two animals be a deal breaker or a potential glow up, very well.

Overall im keeping expectation low, not gonna prepare myself for the SA coati, tegu or tamarin to receive the ABB, so i can't get that disapointed.

With the artwork I guess:
Coyote (confirmed)
Greater Rhea (confirmed)
American Flamingo (If the artwork Shows the animals within the pack more or less confirmed)
Bighorn Sheep (same as it is for the American Flamingo)
Howler Monkey so (I am personally not convinced that the Saki is so clear as it seems here around but it is also possible of course)
Coati sp
American Black Bear

If WE should get an eighth species the Ocelot or the Mara could be possible candidates

This is how I feel about the situation, if there was ever an animal that screamed free anniversary animal it was the American flamingo. It’s not a bad animal, no animal is a bad animal, but it does feel like the ruffed lemurs. Except one is expected to be payed for.

I’m more than happy to get it, but still.

Same for me. Its kind of a schrödingers pack atm.
Depending on what the other animals are it could end up a decent middle of the road pack or it could end up a 10€ saki 😄
