Ranking the areas still requiring animals

Here's all the South/central american habitat animals (and WEs) people suggested, in categories. Which 7 would you choose for a latin america animal pack?
1. Coati
2. Black Howler Monkey
3. Squirrel Monkey
4. Patagonian Mara
5. Southern Tamandua
6. Scarlet Ibis/Roseate Spoonbill
7. Bush Dog

But yeah, Frontier version would probably include something like a Rhea, Brazilian Tapir or Ocelot. I also love Golden lion Tamarins, but I just dont know if I would be satisfied with how Frontier would implement them. They would either be in WTE, which is just too big that it would look ridiculous or habitat animal which would still require too big habitat because of hitboxes, much like the Platypus for example.

The five first are the easiers: put the Coati as the headliner, the rhea and scarlet ibis as the birds of the pack with the howler and GLT as the monkey duo.

This way you got the two mains need of the community, birds and monkeys, a very bulky upgrade with the foir optiond contrasting perfectly with each other in a variety of colors, sizes and niches, while the coati is the popular and cute all-rounder that we all know.

The sixty animal is more tricky, but in the end there's isn't a reason to not go with the B&W tegu: it's a easy to do animal that could add a habitat lizard for SA that is also quite versatile.

Seventh one is the hardest, and i found three ways it could go:
The community option where we get the patagonian mara.
The frontier option where we get the ocelot.
The Utahraptor choice where we get the three banded armadillo.

Overally as this is a hypotetical scenario, i would say patagonian mara, so the o pack would be:

SA coati (headliner)
Greater rhea
Scarlet ibis
GLT
Red howler
B&W tegu
Patagonian mara

Plus the mata mata, but as i don't know if they are still an option i'm just gonna to mention it.

  • Howler monkey
  • Tamadua
  • Coati
  • Rhea
  • Ibis
  • Ocelot
As a lot of people have stated this is realy hard to pick, but overall I would be satisfied with this pack.

  • Scarlet Macaw, Hyacinth Macaw, Golden Parakeet, Red-Bellied Macaw, Blue-Headed Macaw (Walkthrough Exhibit, all compatible like butterflies)

  1. Tamarin(s) I kind of want to spam them like the Grasslands butterflies.
  2. Black Howler Monkey
  3. Geoffroy's Spider Monkey
  4. Margay (to go with the tamarins, but ocelot would also be great)
  5. Coati
  6. Rhea
  7. Scarlet Ibis
That gets Patagonia to yellow (wish I could add the mara as an 8th animal for green), and the grasslands at least to green. Monkeys as a whole are a lot better, and we've got a new ibis rig for birds. I like the ocelot/margay and coati as climbers. This is what I would personally pick, but I still think the mara, tamandua, squirrel monkey, and whistling duck are pretty important. I would also love to see an Arrau turtle and macaws, even though they seem unlikely.

I would go for;
1. Southern Tamandua
2. Darwin Rhea
3. Brown Pelican
4. South American Coati
5. Patagonian Mara
6. Howler Monkey
7. Ocelot

I would love a Brazilian porcupine too, but it isn't really high on my list. I would much rather have something else, though I won't complain if we ever get a tree porcupine :)

Also, I wouldn't be surprised if we get another Tapir or caiman in a potential PZ DLC

I’d probably go with the howler, coati, squirrel monkey/other small monkey, mara, seriema/spoonbill, duck/pelican, and tegu
If I had my way the uakari, bush dog, and jaguarundi would also get in through sheer force of will, but this is hard enough as is haha

Rhea.png

It's been 84 years...

So, I guess, my job here is not done yet.

So patagonia goes to orange with the rhea id say.
Question is if the flamingo turns out to be chilean instead of cuban, would that put it into yellow?
I would definitely say so.
  1. Mountain lion
  2. Llama
  3. Alpaca
  4. Armadillo
  5. Greater rhea
  6. Chilean flamingo
For making a specific Patagonia area that is pretty good. Obviously I’m leaving out some animals that’s just off the top of my head.

So here is what I would say:
  1. Coyote doesn’t change a whole ton
  2. The Greater Rhea brings Patagonia to a yellow in my eyes, it’s probably one of the last important animals for that region. My crazy hot take is that if we also gets the Mara it can honestly be moved to green.
  3. I think the potential Caribbean/ American flamingo is a sleeper hit. It single handed will bring all of the Caribbean to Yellow in my eyes. With the Caribbean flamingo and Antillean iguana you can have a mini Caribbean section. That’s also adding on the green iguana and all the butterflies too. The Caribbean will finally have a major center-piece habitat animal. I really can’t understate how important that is. Now if we got the Cuban crocodile, I would say it can honestly be brought to a green. Now not only does this flamingo help the Caribbean, it can elevate Northern South America with a proper tropical bird species. So while it may not change it from the Yellow it is currently at, it is super beneficial.
  4. If that is indeed a saki, I think we can change the Amazon section of South America to a yellow. We have a proper monkey now.
  5. The sheep changes nothing sorry not sorry haha.
Now the last two could mean a lot.
  1. Patagonian Mara as stated above would be a massively beneficial animal to Patagonia
  2. The coati would be huge!
  3. If we got a reptile, the Cuban crocodile or Black and white tegu would be wildly appreciated.
  4. Personally, and above all else, I think a tropical duck species would be the most beneficial animal we could possibly get.

Assuming we're correct about the bighorn sheep and coyote, I think the North American deserts and grasslands could definitely go blue. For North America, I still need the black bear for the eastern forests to turn blue for me personally. Also, an American flamingo is better than 0 birds, but it has no range in the Nearctic realm. The everglades is considered neotropical. I still think we'll eventually need the bear, ~ 2 birds, maybe a musk ox, and maybe a deer. There's more I'd love, but I think other regions are due a chance to shine for the most part.

I think the rhea could turn Patagonia yellow or at least orange on its own, but we still need the mara for green. For me, the Chilean flamingo would make Patagonia a very solid yellow with the rhea and blue if we get the mara as well.

The saki is not enough to pull the South American tropics out of orange. A coati and an American flamingo would help a lot, but together, they still wouldn't be enough for me. Another monkey might make me consider yellow, but I'd still want ~2 more things (another monkey, bird, and/or ocelot/oddball) to confidently call it yellow.
