They made the missions the same in all modes, to stop people relogging between modes to get more choice of missions.

Wow .. thanks for that ... I have been playing Solo for 10 yrs and I never picked up on that. Learn something everyday.
It's very frustrating to open a mission board and get 10-15 team missions for what you're looking to do, and 0 solo ones because of bad RNG.
I wish this could get looked at someday - either making a separate mission board exclusively for team-intended missions (alongside a better Looking for Team feature, imagine that),only offering team missions if you're on a team, or just having the mission board generate them at a ratio of 50:50 or something, just to ensure both types of gameplay always get missions.

Sometimes you Team Up (Wing Up) AFTER the missions have already been completed (solo) just so profits can be shared.
You can fulfil "Group" (Wing) missions just fine solo in solo mode if you so CHOOSE.
The worst part is that the mission board clearly generates more than 75 missions, then truncates the list.
You can see this when you get a board that has 75 delivery missions alone, but only 75 in the all-categories list.
This wouldn't be so bad if the list was truncated in a way that didn't give us "oops all warzone massacres" or "obviously wing missions should be given priority".
I'd be happy for wing missions to have their own separate category on the mission board alongside passenger missions.

This wouldn't be so bad if the list was truncated in a way that didn't give us "oops all warzone massacres" or "obviously wing missions should be given priority".

It's not helped by the missions boards being naturally blobby and not purely RNG... with wing missions considered a distinct template.
I suspect for optimisation reasons... the missions aren't generated in a naive style like
1. Select mission type 2. Assign attributes 3. Next mission.... 75 times.
Rather, it's
1. Select mission type. 2. Select how many of this type you want to produce. 3. Assign attributes for those missions[1], 4. Next mission type... 7 or 8 times.
That mission selection seems to be random but weighted, and the quantity based on however many missions the board can handle (about 100-120).
A "Wing" mission variant isn't an attribute of the mission, it's an entirely different mission template[2]... so it's entirely possible to have the selection go "Gimme 20 Wing Massacre missions, 15 wing assassinations, 18 wing delivery, 10 wing mining, and 8 donation missions"
Generating missions one at a time (and their attributes) would give a huge big-O impact. Doing it the "blobby" way I described is better because instead of iterating 100-120 times, you iterate just 10 or so times (an entire order of magnitude difference)... noting [1] again.
[1] And, for efficiency, i suspect this is done in a similar fashion too... this is why destinations are usually quite blobby, being to the same locations when multiple exist... i.e. instead of picking one of 40 possible destinations 40 times, you pick a destination 4 or 5 times and just generate for them.
[2] Missions are fundamentally similar based on their template... e.g wing massacres follow a particular pattern meanwhile normal massacres follow their own pattern, so they're different templates. You can also see this distinction if a template is bugged... because that bug is always with that template.

Ah yes, I forgot about the "mining" missions. It's an important point, so I've crossed it out - that solution turns "solo players having trouble finding solo missions" into "team players having trouble finding team missions" (in advance of a team session, even if it's just to share the rewards).
You are willfully ignoring multiple explanations. Who is the troll? The game isn't the way you expected, you didn't do you research, not on the game, and not on the mission description. At some point you should recognize this
Regardless of the ability to share wing missions post (solo) completion - These are basically all I run anymore - even purely solo. Good "mining" missions (wing) typically pay out 45-50m (with maybe a 15M materials buy in) and I can run them purely solo in my Cutter - typically in 2 trips or less. At that completion rate there really is no need to wing up after the fact to share anything with anyone.
...and its actually quite easy for team players to find team missions that they can share. Some systems are specifically kept in balance just to optimize these activities. The Pilots Trade Network (PTN) has lots of info on this...
All-in-all it shouldn't really matter. There shouldn't be any team/solo designation on any mission. If you do a mission solo you get it the full payout. You do it in a wing then the profits get split equally. (This would be a better way then how its currently being done).
But, it doesn't really matter I think...
I have also done group missions by myself, it would be annoying if they removed them in solo and I had to swap to open to take one!
Solo and open mode used to have separate mission boards. People would exploit this by "board flipping." For things like Robigo Mines runs, they would take the most lucrative transport missions in Open, switch to solo, take the most lucrative missions there, rinse, repeat. I'm not sure if it caused instancing issues in open or if FDEV just considered it an exploit, but now they have the same mission board. I always traded in Open for access to the more lucrative team missions, and only recently learned that that isn't necessary anymore.
I will admit ... I play Solo exclsuively and just the other night a lot of the misson baords were like 99% Team missons (not a specific percentage). I get you can do them by yourself, but it is kind of counter productive to being a Solo player. I think a filter or some change should probably be looked at. Not removing them anything like that ... perhaps a change to the mission generation system ... I don't know enough about it.
