Interesting raffle off of LA office merch...

Unclear if the lucky invitees paid. It seems there was a draw and they were allocated something:

Would be surprisingly un-CIG if there wasn't a price tag attached though

Such a laundry list of yesteryear's excess in there:
  • The 1:1 citcon grav bike
  • Many ship models
  • Lavish BMM painting.
  • A PC with wraparound SQ42 decal including Mark Hamill ;)
  • CR director chair.
CR signed all the paintings, because he is the true font of all the art ;)

And gotta love the fan's sign off: 'Bigger and better things for SC are to come...'

NB, this is the same guy who got this from LA recently:

For a moment i thought that guy was Derek Smart.

Anything about the number of layoffs consequently to the LA closure? Or last months registered ones are related to it?
The layoffs there have been playing out since, at least, when we were made aware of the larger scale redundacies a few years ago. The offers to "relocate" to the UK or get dismissed etc. There may be also more recent redundancies for the shut down but this seems to have been a gradual process for the most part.

I suspect Ci~G have been spending the rent money on development and infrastructure costs for some considerable time as they've been building the Empire of Roberts emporium in sunny Manchester. The figures just don't add up...and barring a lot of robbing Peter to pay Paul or some very secretive East Asian capital injections they're keeping under wraps, they should be losing money, not making it...

We'll have to wait and see :)

...They probably took the wiring, the drywall, the floor tiles and I bet they left the taps running on the way out too :D
A friend of mine was working for Eron when it imploded. On the day before the finale, he said that many people (suspecting that they were never getting another penny) were walking out with anything that they could carry, and some things that needed wheeling.

On the day itself there was a tonne of security on the doors after they were told to leave and not come back.
