Deer are constantly shoved under the bus in this game while other ungulate taxa get their time to shine... We even got the peccary, but still not a single deer in almost three years.
Which is why I'd be so against another camelid: we already have 4 camelids, which is 2/3rds of the living species; I get it, we only have the domestic ones, but still. Out of 40+ deer species, we only have 4, two of which exclusive to Europe.

A White-Tailed Deer would be the perfect ungulate for this pack. A smaller deer from not one, but TWO fairly underrepresented areas in terms of similar-sized ungulates - North and South America.

Please, NO!

TBH I’m not expecting anything at all, but I could be wrong. They also definitely know we are waiting to hear news, so part of me feels like they are definitely gonna troll us.

Not gonna lie, I'm hoping for a mocking tease. I know we want news, but if they try to mess with us it means we're not forgotten
Plus, I'd love a minor update that has something to do with a little Easter egg or something; maybe you can name a guest something and then they'll do a dance or run around screaming for no reason. I remember in ZT1 how you could name a guy Alfred H and then ambient birds would appear and all the guests would run away
