with the the new dlc to be revealed in a week I decided to base this week on the pack. With the there being 2 slots left in the next pack I am wondering, what is your most controversial picks for those last 2 slots, any animal can be mentioned besides mare and coati sense those are popular and highly requested. These don't have to be the animals you want the most, just some controversial or biased choices, for example I would go with Geoffrey's Spider Monkey and SA tapir.

I'm not elaborating further in any of those.

Strictly for controversy, white-tailed deer and Cuban crocodiles

The mara and especially the coati would be pretty good, but I'm really hoping for tamarins. People keep making fun of the possibility of the ocelot and American black bear, but I actually really want both of them.

There are clones that would make me happy but would turn this pack in a full on clone fest and make it mega mediocre if not worst. These include:

• Ocelot
• Brazilian tapir
• Another armadillo
• Marsh deer
• Elk
• Guanaco
• Vicuña
• Red footed tortoise

Then there are clones that would absolute ruin this pack for me if they were the remaining picks:

• American black bear
• Bobcat
• White tailed deer
• Mule deer
• Cuban crocodile
• Another capuchin (yeah no not every single new world monkey is a good addition, we need variety, another capuchin doesn't cut it)

For now i'll keep manifesting my most wanted: COATI AND MARA

I've always dislike them as additions to the game. Mainly the white tailed deer, less so the mule deer.

Tbh depends on context. If i get my mara and coati, i would not be opposed to more North American animals in the future. I think the Black bear and the turkey and a duck are the most pressing ones before getting any basic deer though. They are never a priority when there are plenty of more important (to me) and interesting options like the wapiti, pudu, marsh deer or the pere david deer (i know is not american i'm just listing deers that add more to the game than the white tailed one)

I think the ironic thing about white-tailed deer is that their range extends into the North-eastern Amazon (not greatly, mind you, but more than the capuchin). They're a legitimate contender for reasonably having every biome tag present in PZ so they end up being super versatile.

TBH they are so uninteresting to me that i would probably never use them in an enclosure. Only use i can think for them is to just get some american deer in a petting zoo or "free roaming" in the background if i make an american zoo.

And no, even if they range into the Amazon, they are not an iconic south american species and don't count as representation for this continent imo.

See, I don't really get that argument. whether or not a species is "iconic" is super subjective. I consider superb lyrebirds to be an icon of Australia when barely anyone's heard of them. I don't really get why species are only seen as mono-continental (the greater flamingo and grey wolf are worse offenders, granted), it's just an arbitrary limitation to limits creativity and thinking. Maybe we should normalise the idea of white-tailed deer as Amazonian species, even if it seems weird at first. Doesn't hurt anybody and it enables more freedom.

Both central american countries, not southamerican.

IDK maybe is because i have way more interesting deer species with greater conservation value in my country (huemul, marsh deer, pampas deer, sothern pudu... we also have brockets but don't care much about those, and red deer but those are invasive) and i prefer to get any of those before the WTD. And even in NA there are more interesting options like the Elk and even the mule deer.

Just to clarify i don't hate WTD irl, i think they are cute, just as an option to use a slot in a DLC.

This is truly the only ABB that I would like to have (that would actually add something to NA zoos). They are, and I repeat: THE Bear of NA. Far more widespread than the grizzly, iconic enough to be featured in tons of rustic artworks, heck there's a diner chain called the Black Bear Diner. The ABB is and always will be more important to me than the grizzly.
I understand not in this pack. If it's an anniversary animal, I'm fine. I just want it. Plus, it's my favorite bear

I got to be honest as an American the grizzly bear has always felt “exotic” and “foreign”. The black bear is something I can see in my backyard. I can totally get if the bears addition doesn’t do it for people in this pack (I would prefer it somewhere else) but I do feel like it would be an ok addition for PZ.

I personally like it, but outside of those native to NA (or building for NA) it probably won’t be used much.

Man you guys need to keep preaching. The ABB is NA’s true bear. Every zoo here has them. We need them as our anniversary animal. Plus they have so many color variations. A peak animal for us Americans.

I think another advantage of the ABB is that it'll also work for Mexican rep. They're widespread in forests and arid areas, plus mountainous areas. They are just an extremely adaptable (and arboreal, I might add) bear. We're so close to having each species of bear, the ABB is the last one

I dont know I feel it will happen much sooner considering we have our second pack with 2 birds and since arid we have been getting at least 1 bird per pack EXCEPT THE PACK LITERALLY DEDICATED TO US. I think that as we get more animals birds will inevitably come closer to the front of what's viewed as essential.

Big Agree! Striped Hyena, Dall Sheep, Dhole, have little chance for the sequel even though I them.

There are so many animas that if frontier started picking and choosing wouldnt come back like the black wildebeest, nile lechwe, himalayan brown bear all of which I would miss.
