That's going to be the better option if we're going to take everything into account.Sure. Write to your elected representative (assuming you have one) to put your country on UTC (and stop all that daylight saving time nonsense)
I thought the game was getting the time from the FDev server but I definitely could be wrong about that. The computer OS that tells the game what the time is, knows what the local time is too. They can just use that instead of UTC.
It does. With the stuttering thing every 5 minutes, I tried to set the PC clock back by 2 minutes to see if it has an effect but the game still shows the correct time.I thought the game was getting the time from the FDev server but I definitely could be wrong about that.

This would be awesome. The computer OS that tells the game what the time is, knows what the local time is too. They can just use that instead of UTC.
Yes. It's still reality tho.Your semi-annual reminder that it isn't stupid that the clocks in Elite don't change, it's stupid that the clocks in reality do.
....
Although it does save some confusion when arranging to meet people in game, all being on the same time.
I bet some old timers still use GMT instead.this
(As a radio amateur I - and everyone I know - use UTC to arrange skeds etc. )
The problem is that because reality is dumb and if we all had local time, there would be at least 2 months of the year where no-one would have a clue what everyone else's time was because of all the different dates that times change, or don't change.Yes. It's still reality tho.
