Not the best pack I've seen but not the worst either. I'm definitely not disappointed with the Ocelot and the Bush Dog but I'm sad we're not having (yet) the coati and the mara. They were perfect for the theme.
Bighorn sheep is the one I don't like in this pack. At least they respected the idea of doing an Americas pack focusing more on Latin America.

I was on my way back home from an appointment when the trailer popped up and I immediately knew that there are going to be a lof of disappointed people here:ROFLMAO: But I get you, can't believe Frontier really left out the coati. I can't even be mad about the ocelot and bush dog, two very nice animals to have, especially the bush dog (it's definetely not the usual canine), but neglecting the No. 2 of the meta wishlist feels like a crime.
Guess I was too optimistic with guessing coati and mara.
But finally a second new world monkey and two birds is very nice even though both are more or less clones. For me it's still a good pack but it could have been a perfect one with mara and coati instead of coyote and bighorn sheep.
And to spread some more positive vibes here: it's our 19th (!!) DLC! That's crazy to get support over such a long time.

My ranking of the animals:
  1. White Faced Saki. I mean already knew this was gonna be my favourite. It looks really good (at least the male does, hope they didn’t forget about the females looking different because that would be a blunder) and it’s one of my childhood favourites and it’s a NWM there’s no reason not to love this thing. 10/10.
  2. Greater Rhea. I’ve got my ideas for it building wise and it was a pretty requested species so I’m glad it’s here (looks great too). 9/10.
  3. Bush Dog. Not happy that it took a spot from the coati, but the bush dog itself is a really good inclusion and a great oddball. Not sure how I’m gonna build for it but I am excited to see it and build for it. 9/10.
  4. American Flamingo. A rather simple inclusion but it’s very useful. I like that we’re getting a better looking flamingo and I have some ideas on what I want to build for it. 7/10.
  5. Ocelot. It’s an okay addition - I didn’t really want it but it’s useful I suppose, probably gonna be one of the last ones I build for or I’ll just reuse my clouded leopard cage and move it to Oakwood. 5/10.
  6. Bighorn Sheep. Could be better and I honestly feel like these last 2 are only here to sell the pack but it’s a decent addition. It gives the opportunity to build for a hot climate caprid so I’ll take it. 4/10.
  7. Coyote. No ideas for it, didn’t want it, probably not gonna build for it. I am happy though for the people who wanted it. 2/10.

Maybe not a pack dedicated to SA, but remember thay we've been handfed little treats throughout the years:
Aquatic gave us 2 SA animals...
Wetlands brought us 2 SA animals...
Grasslands gave us 2 SA animals...
Zookeeper gave us 1...
Barnyard gave us 1...


So, we've slowly been filling up some key areas in SA. While this isn't the ideal roster, we again got a primarily SA pack that fills up even more filler animals. At this point, the only 4 requested animals from SA are:
  1. 3rd NWM
  2. Coati
  3. Mara
  4. Tegu
That's pretty much the ones people really want. We cam easily get 2 of those I'm am arboreal themed pack or in a forest pack. The latter 2 I'm not sure how, maybe an open plains pack?

Lol ocelote and bush dog. I mean they are both awesome animals and the ocelote in particular was in my wishlist, but this is very carnivore heavy and not even a coati 😂😂😂😂 i can't even be mad. Is just too funny how tone deaf they are.

The rhea looks gorgeous btw! So, so happy about it.

And can't wait to see the saki as well.

The ocelot looks really nice as well.

But yeah was a wasted opportunity for the coati and the mara.

Like what is the Big drive of this pack? The monkey? No coati is really insane.

S Tier:
Greater Rhea - Aaaahh finally I've been dying for the rhea for so long, so iconic and the last of the ratites. Easily my favourite of the whole pack.

A Tier:
White-Faced Saki - Finally a new world monkey! Will be awesome for Tropical Houses, only not higher because I had other monkey preferences and I'm worried we won't have the sexual dimorphism.

B Tier:
Ocelot - A small cat for the Americas is nice and this will help flesh out South American areas, not much else to say.
Bush Dog - Same opinion of the Ocelot really, I guess I am just slightly more of a cat person lol.
Coyote - It's just so iconic and versatile, I can't help but really like it.

C Tier:
American Flamingo - Super common in zoos and will certainly be useful, but I just can't get that excited over it compared to the rest of the animals here.
Bighorn Sheep - I prefer the Aoudad but this is still an iconic species for the American desert and our first hot-climate caprine.

Overall a solid B grade pack, the omissions hurt and this was so close to being amazing but still its a good pack.

Roster of this pack is so well done, that the only thing we need now is an American themed animal pack to patch up what's missing 🤗

Joking aside, Ocelot and Bush Dog are cool picks (Bush Dog here and there, Ocelot was long time inhabitants of my wishlists), but they make Coyote and Bighorn soo much worse.

Saki and Rhea look fantastic, Ocelot was in some weird angles in trailer, might need another proper look.

But all in all some cool picks in a vacuum, too bad for a theme, but it's clear that however long support goes on, that these are the kind of packs we are to expect, so we should probably lower our expectations.
