"Development Level >>"? Figuring out what all these numbers do.

Built a Coriolis + Surface Colony + Refinery last week. Unsurprisingly the Colonies remain as Colony Economies and are ignoring the refinery.

So much for 'reverting' the bad change - they did indeed make it worse.

I look forward to the next magical secret change at some point in the future.

Edit: Though I did like it that the Coriolis wasn't spinning until it got activated this week - nice touch that I missed on the first one :)

Update:
Commercial Outpost after BGS Tick has come online, but still no influence from the Demeter-Farm -> 1.0 Colony

My Astro-Base shows (after 4 Ticks" still the signs "under deployment" - although Missions are available ????

That system is south of Sol right? Part of the big wave that headed towards the Formidine Rift?

nope - HIP 68864 62/265/164 so north and up from bubble - why?

I have this theory that where the colonization wave is thickest is where the most synchronization problems occur. My first colony sprung off a Dukes of Mikunn contact, like so many others, and that wave is heading north towards the Core. But it's smaller,I think, than the other waves.

So far, minimal problems on my part - but I'm quite near the old northern border of the Bubble. And the rest of the northern wave is already hundreds of light years ahead.

I have the same thing, I have to wait until Thursday, when the station starts up, only after that can I build a refinery. I have another slot on the planet, I want to build another refinery, I hope to restart the economy

Can't confirm.

Spacefarm + L agri settlement set Coriolis to 1.0 agri. Spacefarm is powerful.
(edit: this was two weeks ago)
Pls don't think. Experiment and measure.

All economy experiments:
  • dock at station/settlement
  • read "docked" event from player journal. There you get the economy influences.
  • build something.
  • dock at station
  • read docked event. Compare.

Thinking and having theories is dangerous. Had often rather complex theories for the BGS that were mostly wrong once i tested them.
Elite Dangerous has very specific rulesets that do not necessarily fit the real world. That was like this with the BGS. That is the same for colonization.

Edit: Regarding your colony: This is imho a bugged station. If you placed a mining outpost, this should give 0.5 or more extraction economy influence to an outpost. We have at least partial extraction economies for an outpost with just a single mining outpost. Space farm works as well. So you might want to either raise a ticket or place another asset into the local zone to retrigger. In case you have no market at all (not even Biowaste), don't bother and just don't put more effort into this station until the bug is fixed.
The agri influence is from Large Agri settlement 1.0
The farm is useless. 1 Farm should swap an outpost to 50/50 but it doesnt.
Besides the old system doesnt work anymore. We are at 3.0 now, Biowaste edition

Well it might be fixed as in if you build something today it works, after weekly maint.

As Ive said 50 times, economy updates after you build something attached only. Meaning if they fixed it today only stuff built from today will work.

if you think so..... any proof of that or just wild guessing?

I have just done the rounds of several stations that should have adopted agri influence (from space farms and agri settlements), but none have. My marketless asteroid base is still marketless.

I started as well, one ref hub done, now I'm working on the t1 port. If the influence doesn't work, should be visible from the ground port as well.
I'll add an orbital later.

So while the refinery hub was already finished yesterday a few hours before the weekly tick, I did finish the Civilian Surface Outpost (Clotho) only seconds ago.
The ground port was supposed to have at least 0.5 refinery influence, right? It has only colony influence. No UC or Shipyard (is that by design for t1 ports? I can't remember)
"StationEconomies":[ { "Name":"$economy_Colony;", "Name_Localised":"Colony", "Proportion":1.000000 } ]
I am going now to build another refinery hub on the same planet (HMC), just to be 1000% sure the economy influence system is ...what's a nice word, oh yeah...it's biowaste :poop:

One refinery is enough. You could stack a pile of refineries on the planet below and it'll still be biowaste central - for now at least.

As I know influence applies to the port only if influencing structures were build after the port. Or that was fixed?

Completing station after first hub worked for me on 2025-03-30, see post 1174 in this thread.
Therefore, we might have had a working economy system for at least 2 days until 2025-04-02 when the magic planet influence appeared. Those were the good old (2) days.

System Tech Level: 29
Station Tech Level : 6 (Orbis)

26 ships in shipyard including new gen ships.

What is your development level?
So I checked a neighbour, they only have an Orbis as their initial station with a an Industrial settlement (build around a rocky planet with Carbon Dioxide atmosphere so they could get a refinery+agricultural+industrial).
And they also have 26 ships in the shipyard. So I'm wondering if it's depending on the station type. Even an Orbis with low Tech level got plenty of ships in the shipyard.

People mentioned that the Colony stations were not picking the economy influence from facilities, I was wondering if the Development Level was still influencing the market and increasing the export/import values?
I finished a Large Research Settlement and Large Industrial Settlement and both are supposed to give Development Level, but I checked all markets and they did not change after each construction (the population of the system increased each time). Even after the Thursday tick that put them online it did not change anything.

So I was wondering if it could be that:
a) Development level is broken (did anybody notice an increased in the market after completing another facility since the fix on the body influence?)
b) There is a limit on the market, maybe an outpost will stop increasing its supply at some point?
c) Facilities are not updating the system stats since this week?

I also still have my broken colony outpost (built weeks ago) that did not pick up the Refinery economy, and the market is still a very poor colony with 50t of biowaste maybe (when the system stats should have increased the value). It's like that station is completely disconnected from the system and never updated. So I'm wondering if it could be just that now, none of my markets get updated...
