Elite Dangerous | Colonisation Facilities & Markets

Not operational yet. But has market.

Edit: we built working economies in non-operational stations before. And economy influence was quasi instant before.
Yes, economy influence used to be instant after all the commodity deliveries had been completed, even when the signs on the station said it was under deployment. Makes me wonder if FD changed something so the station does have to be completely finished now. I have zero proof of this actually being the case, it might just be that everything is just broken right now.

I believe this was when they were experimenting with the planetary body influencing the economies and accidentally over-tuned it to the point you could not out compete even with 4+ of the same facility surface-side. This was what was reverted last week.

Well my colony has been fully operational for well over a month now. There's an pristine icy ring in the system with a tritium hotspot, a refinery, an industrial base, an extraction hub, a couple of mining settlements and there's an extraction economy in the system.

And my Coriolis starport is still only selling 8t of tritium! 🙄 😟

I have coriolis built after the patch 9th. Its 100% colony.
Waiting for it to activate fully.
Its in slot 0
Waiting for wednesday "server update"
Waiting for thursday maintenance
Waiting for friday possible "fixing"

After 7PM UK time friday Im gonna build to test if it works.

I doubt anything will be "fixed" on Friday - it's a long weekend holiday.

Cant confirm.

Finished a Refinery Hub yesterday, and the Coriolis around the planet shows no economy influence.
Ditto, put up a Coriolis, then a refinery hub ten hours ago, after server tick the Coriolis still has the Colony market.

Yeah, I think so. The orbis in my original system is still getting industrial influence from the planet itself so I know not everything has been reverted just yet.

Our squadron constructed two Orbis-class stations in two different systems. One - week ago, one - yesterday.

In both systems, prior to building the station, we developed multiple Large Mining Settlements and Refinery Hub's on high metal content planets — specifically beneath the Orbis stations orbits. Based on the mechanics, we expected this would result in either an Extraction and Refinery economy for the Orbis stations. One Orbis build in 0 point, Second - in other system not in 0 point.

Yet, despite these conditions, both stations defaulted to Colony economy and have not updated to reflect the surrounding economic infrastructure.

Now these two Orbis stations have come out of the "under construction" mode, but the economy remains a Colony. So yes, now nothing works and there is zero feedback from the developers. What to do with all this now and where to write is unclear

Oh they reverted everything, it's just that the way the colonization works right now, it needs a "trigger" to do the actual changes.
So your Orbis will have that influence forever, unless you trigger it (by building in its localized area).
And the first thing the trigger does is to default everything back to "colony" mode. If you can trigger again, after that, you might obtain smth. - but that doesn't work yet (with small exceptions).

Building non-Colony economy orbital/surface ports also work IIRC, so those can be used while we wait for FDev.

What's the economy fraction of the Coriolis? (as in the specific numbers in the Journal, not just the in-game summary)

Not sure how to interpret this though 🫤 🙂

Coriolis so 15000ish equivalent population ... it's half-Refinery (which produces Tritium) and half-Extraction (which doesn't) ... so effectively only 7500 population working on the Refinery side, and Tritium is a low supply commodity.

8t is lower than I'd expect for that even so, but I wouldn't expect much over a few hundred tonnes.

(How sure are you that someone hasn't just bought it all up for their Fleet Carrier? Tritium supply regenerates extremely slowly.)
