Hey guys, I got a new Amazon wireless mouse and I'm wondering if I can remove this little paper tab
Edit: Never mind, I realized it was meant to remove batteries.

A bit over a week ago, I decided to make a zoo game roster that aimed to represent global biodiversity as proportionately as possible based on the system made by @yoav_r .The results were quite interesting, with the total main roster hitting 444 species!
Link to the Google Sheets for those interested.
It's pretty rough in its organisation, I literally just finished getting species names down. I'm more than welcome to feedback anyone has for alternate species suggestions! There was a good amount of eyeballing from the biome map Yoav uses, so it definitely not a prefect result but it's pretty close IMO.

an interesting roster Im actually working on a similar project focusing on real life zoo diversity over general biodiversity

One problem I do have with your map though is the area you labelled as the daintree + tasmania isnt remotely near the daintree or a rainforest at all

also the hamadryas baboon has such an insignificant range in the middle east only existing at the southern tip of yemen the current ingame version doesnt even count it as being anything other than african.

sulawesi should definitely be a separate section having a large amount of endemic zoo relevant primates, marsupials and other animals

I had trouble thinking of a nice term that meant “Temperate Australia”, as shown on Yoav’s regional division.
Also yeah the baboon was 100% a cop-out pick lol. I do have dromedaries in the bonus tab at least, so the region’s not terribly lacking in species.

Yeah there really isnt a good term for it. The daintree is one of australias most famous tropical rainforests from far north queensland so not the right choice at all for temperate australia.
Otherwise the roster looks good and shows just how many animals it would truley take to match true biodiveristy.
